He’s just not the same guy he was at the beginning of the season. I thought he had turned a corner but he has reverted back to what he was at the end of last season…I.e still getting saves but looking really shaky in the process. Just seems incapable of throwing a clean inning. He doesn’t suck by any means and there aren’t better options, but we will all be testing the limits of our liquor cabinets in a close game.

We will need to get creative in deploying off day starters to patch 27 outs in a lot of these games. I will go against the grain and defend Dusty and say he actually did a decent job of that last year in the weirdo playoffs, likely because he had a color coded sheet telling him what to do

I just want to say… FODB has performed one monumental accomplishment.
The DAT has never before been this United.
Thank you, Dusty.
Now, frick off.

Is the logic that Yed is slow and chas covers more ground in CF than jake?
Doesn’t make any sense

Dusty is more of a "Go with your gut" type manager. He saw Chazzy going yard in his dreams last night and you can't deny a premonition like that.

Can’t argue with that

Yuli looked awful yesterday. Interested to see if he turns it around today.

Garcia is starting game 3 in Chicago. One could make the case that Garcia should have started game 2 at home where he's been much much better.

Meyers is objectively a better centerfielder than chaz, right? In what fricking world do you start both Yordan and Chaz in the same outfield...

To be fair, Chas did go 0-2 with 2 strikeouts against Giolito he threw a complete game earlier this season at MMP.
Chas has probably reflected and grown from that opportunity.

No, other way around and by defensive metrics it's not close. And that's not taking anything away from Meyers. I think Chas is #2 on the team in dWAR, behind Correa who was #1 in MLB.
ETA: Still would roll with Jake though.

I hope the Astros win the WS just to see the after comments about Dusty… you Astros fans are horrible.

Yes, he earned a day off (Dusty logic)

Astros in 4.
Although Stinky has stunk plenty this year, he's usually good for the first time through the lineup and would probably be good for 2 bull pen innings. But he's probably so pissed off now that it would show up in his pitching.
I cannot possibly imagine why Dusty is sitting Jake. He probably just wants to get Chas playoff experience. I am never a huge fan of Yed in LF. He is ok, but Brantley is better.
Probably would have been better for Framber to pitch in Chicago.
The CWS have a problem with Lance Lynn. If Chicago wins, it will take them 5 games. Lance Lynn will have to pitch twice and that's great for the Astros. Fast ball pitcher against best hitting fastball team in MLB.
We take it in 4. I'd rather not take it in 3. We need to stay sharp.
And frick off Dusty Baker!!!

Wow. You Astros fans here think you could do a better job than Dusty which is just stupid. None of you are even close to qualifying for the job much less to win a division title. Anyone of you would have this talented roster in last place. Fact.
