I was expecting the A's to win and I was going to nominate TexasTiger38 to start the initial ALDS thread. He had the threads for our 10 game win streak that ran sweeps through the A's and Yankees. that seemed like good juju.

Rays staff is going to be a cluster frick of random openers and “bulk guys” for the two games in Houston. Not sure if I like it or hate it for us but it should be interesting

Elephant in the room, we fricking suck against Tampa.

Astros are 6-11 against the Rays in 17 meetings since Aug. 1, 2017, including 2-6 at Tropicana Field. The Rays have won three of four against them at Tropicana Field in each of the last two years. Houston has a .582 slugging percentage in those eight games

Since 2015, the Astros have a .206/.275/.328 slash line at Tropicana Field.

I know we were 3-1 this year against them with JV and Cole on the mound. Dunno about last year

Rays Rotation is a bit concerning, but Glasnow & Snell are just coming off injuries right?

Glasnow has thrown 12.1 since coming off IL in the beginning of September (4 starts, never more than 4.1 IP)

Snell has thrown 6 since coming off mid September, most IP is 2.1

And we rocked Chuck last time out

Likely the best pitching matchup we face all postseason. Glasnow is sick and owned us in March. Snell and Morton we got to. Feel confident we can get to Snell again given his injuries but not so much on Morton.

We just need to remind Glasnow where he is tomorrow. An Orange Crush is coming...

I am contemplating going tomorrow since I decided to stay in town instead of going to LSU/Saints games. Figure if I do go it may be best to stay downtown for a bit after the game as post game traffic combined with work traffic should be a monstrosity.

The bigggest sliver-lining to last night result is no more west coast games.

Means the @Tampa time slot will suck but whatever

Yeah that’s true. Those late west coast times can be rough.

I'm not expecting much from the new money fans at MMP. I was appalled at the shittiness and lack of cheering by the home fans last season. It was cheer only of something good happened. And then sit down and be quiet. A lot of down in front types.

If they win, it's on the players because MMP will be tame. We will never have electricity like 17 again.
