How great would it be if Rays win the AL east and Yanks miss the playoffs this year with all the crap their fans keep talking about knocking stros out this year and how sweet it will be. I'm sure it will be somehow us cheating for them to miss though.

What produces a bigger melt: Astros WS win in October or a Donald Trump landslide in November?

It’s possible they happen within a week of each other and I can’t wait.

Reddit will melt

Two new threads show that cracks may be developing in the facade.

Also does anyone else think this scandal has opened Astros window a few more years? The way these clubs talk about some of the players, I don't see them wanting to sign any of them which could mean great things for stros.

That line between "THAT'S frickING CHEATING!! REEEE" and "perfectly legal" is starting to get blurred isn't it?

If we give Girardi the benefit of the doubt that the signs were going to the runner at 2nd not the "hit...", the Yankees were using the replay room to electronically steal signs and send it to the dugout and relay them to the baserunner and to the hitter.

this whole screech is about crossing the line of using tech to steal signs. What Girardi lays out isn't organic sign stealing by a baserunner... its using the guys in replay room to decode signs and relay thet out to the hitter. It doesn't give you moral high ground that you "only" used it through a runner on 2nd.

Yep, the key point that most of the haters talk is the “use technology” part. Girardi’s little explanation definitely involved technology.

Too bad Yed is going to win it instead.

Minor adjustment.

I think having the top 2 teams in homers in each league send four-man teams to compete in a team HR Derby > anything else they've tried on AS week.

Judge, Stanton, Torres, Sanchez
Vs
Yed, Springer, Bregman, Tucker
Vs
Bellinger, Turner, Betts, Joc
Vs
Trout, Pujols, Rendon, Upton

I want Twins in as well

Yeah, the AL would clearly have more worthy teams for it. Maybe just total team homers and too fricking bad if one league dominates.

Hey, no one said the hitters wouldn't know what kind of pitch is coming. Our no-talent fraud players would have no chance to win if they don't know what pitch is coming.

Well not Bregman, we saw that last year when he was defeated in the first again

Bregman should never have been in the derby. He's a pull-side, line drive home run hitter, not a typical masher. Curious to see how this year's ball carries.

The real issue bothering me is what do I do with my no-hitter ticket?

Throw it in a trash can and then bang on it.
