The cognitive dissonance here is hilarious.
All of those players had extended time with multiple organizations except for Luke voit. It’s known and accepted that the two biggest cheating scandals the last two years in baseball were directly modeled after players times with the Yankees. Beltran and Maybin performed better with the Yankees yet it’s not worth looking into and asking questions whatsoever whatsoever

MLB was never going to do anything to the Yankees, especially with Manfred at the helm. Messing with the Yankees is messing with MLB’s bottom line.
What’s pathetic, though, is watching Buster Olney (Mr. Yankee), Marc Carig (Yankees beat writer for The Athletic) and other Yankee homers in the media (who write like they're fans) continue to hammer on the Astros as if they have a grudge about the Astros keeping their beloved Yankees out of 2 of the last 3 World Series.
The coverage will only get worse because we haven’t even got to full-squad spring training yet. And every time the Astros visit a city this year, every local media dipshit will come out to play “gotcha.”
I just wish someone would explain to me how Astros cheating was the reason the Yankees scored 3 runs in 4 games at MMP in the 2017 ALCS. Someone point this out to that dipshit crybaby CC Sabathia and go tell him to eat another pizza while he’s crying.

No one truly knows whether the Astros or any other teams were using buzzers or not but there’s one group that needs to take advantage of that possibility...the MLB Umpire’s Union. In fact, they may end up thanking the Astros in the end for keeping them employed. Despite the fact they were about to get shitcanned in favor of an automated strike zone they can now be used to scan each batter at the plate with one of those airport handheld X-ray wands. Manfred will be happy because he can save money paying them the equivalent of an airport security guard. Win/win for everyone.

The whole buzzer thing is such bullshite. There is ZERO evidence of anything having to do with “buzzers”. They’ve never been accused of it, they’ve never been outed by a player, and there is no evidence of any kind. Zero.
It was made up out of thin air by people on Twitter.
I mean, what is a buzzer even? Is it something you can buy and link up to a phone using WiFi? It’s all so stupid.
The most ridiculous thing isn’t that some idiots invented a conspiracy theory about buzzers, but it’s that it’s being taken seriously by people and media members when there isn’t a shred of evidence that points to a “buzzer” or anything similar.

frick Charlie Morton.
Such a bullshite response. He didn’t care until now. Zero chance he feels remorseful about it whenever he was celebrating a championship.
More of this is going to happen as we move into spring training.

What do you want him to say?
It was his first year with the Astros. You gonna come in and tell a bunch of veterans to stop? A bunch of guys that are hitters when you're a pitcher.
Especially when the manager didn't stop it

Yeah I don’t blame him for saying that now that he’s on another team that just got knocked out by them. I imagine his current teammates aren’t too happy with it. Don’t blame Charlie at all

It’s not like this was something that was going on for 5 years. They established the tech to diffuse signs the September before he signed.
He was there when it originated. It’s fake remorse to satisfy the masses. He didn’t give a frick because it gave him an advantage when he was on the mound.
It’s just all bullshite to keep pushing the faux outrage.

Does anyone have the balls to name names since it was supposedly a player driven thing? Like was it someone like Beltran leading it? The Mets seemed to feel it was right to fire him. Same with Cora, while not a player, did he help coordinate any of this? Now if someone snitches, they've essentially blackballed themselves in the fraternity of MLB players so maybe noone will come out and name names.

You should read the full report from Manfred. Not a summary. Not someone else’s recap... but the full document. It isn’t that much, and it is very simple to follow. And the questions you asked are clearly answered In the document.

"Beltran told the Astros their sign stealing methods were behind the times." ~ Guy who spent the previous 3 seasons with the Yankees.
Hmmm.

The Yankees do to downtrodden hitters what we do to downtrodden starters.
Cameron Maybin was ridiculous last year after being a mediocre journey man

This was the most obvious sequence of events of all time. The fake outrage about the “code breaker” stuff from Friday was hilarious. I guarantee you every front office has a low level guy that’s worked to find an algorithm to pick up signs.
The Astros guy came up with a good one, they deployed it between games to base runners to be like hey look for this. Didn’t work quickly enough then Cora and Beltran escalated it to the trash can banging.

Seems like the phony outrage from the players and other front office staff is because the Astros did the same shite better than them.

The lynch mob media can't let this shite go. They're living off the hate clicks. I'm guessing someone *ahem* Drellich *ahem* is sitting on some "bombshell" to drop right before the season starts.

News: On the eve of pitchers and catchers reporting to Houston Astros camp, the entire roster has gathered in Florida and expects to meet Wednesday with owner Jim Crane to discuss how the team will publicly address the sign-stealing scandal
Sounds like apology gate 2020 is about to start popping in earnest. Reportedly the whole roster is to show up with pitchers and catchers tomorrow and have a meeting with the boss. Clubhouse media availability on Thursday.
