If not Cruz, I'm kind of keen on Daniel Murphy as primarily DH but he's got the ability to play around the infield.
ETA: I was going to tell you, I think Marwin would be an excellent fit on the Yankees. Yankee Stadium would be a haven for him.

Swap Murphy for Marwin. I’d be ok with that

B2b titles happened only twice past 40 seasons.
1. 1992-1993 Toronto Blue Jays
2. 1998-2000 NY Yankees

Depending on the contract (3-4 year) I don't think that would be an issue. The OF will be crowded again with Hicks, Stanton, Judge, Frazier, Ellsbury and hopefully Gardner back.
1B- You have Voit and Bird
3B- Andujar is going to get another shot to complete
SS- I believe they move Gleyber here full time

We can all agree that Realmuto would take a lot to get him. But my question is since some of you guys brought up Paul Goldschmidt, do you think we would have to give up more for Goldschmidt or Realmuto?
My guess would of course be Goldschmidt since he is an elite player offensively and defensively, but with what Marlins want for Realmuto, it might be just as much as Goldschmidt, so I don't know.

Per mark berman altuve had knee surgery on friday. Did not report the specific injury.

Not a surprise. Almost certainly a torn meniscus. Ultimate respect for Tuve. Dude was grinding
Posted on 10/20/18 at 12:08 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Mcl or meniscus but more likely a meniscus. Doubt he could played like he did on mcl.

I look forward to a healthy Altuve, George, and correa now with Bregmans emergence.

Correa wont be the same im afraid. Best hope is he rwtuens to be an average player. The league adjusted and he has no answer.

Not sure if serious or full Ryno. I think he will be above average lol. He might not be a perennial MVP candidate like he looked prior to last years thumb injury but average is unlikely.
Regardless the performances of Altuve and George (thumb) down the stretch showed a lot of heart. The lineup will look much better IMO.

I don’t buy the back being the only problem, but he tried to change his approach.
Letting the ball travel was the key to his success. He still occasionally would turn on an inside pitch.
Obviously, pitchers made adjustments by busting him inside, but he lost his way when he started thinking pull.

Damn. Finish up a game on Thursday night and already scheduled surgery the next day. Impressive. Nice to see a player with this sort of dedication. Too often you see these guys wait until right before the start of the season. Shaq and his “company time” bullshite come to mind.

He had a bad back, 100% healthy as long as he didn't pick up any bad havits I expect him to produce like he did the previous season
Posted on 10/20/18 at 6:24 pm to Tiger Ryno
So Altuve apparently had a detached bone in his kneecap, what a fricking warrior

Not sure if serious or full Ryno.
But look out for when that turd turns out to be a true stinker and he is correct... you’ll hear about how right he was for months.
