The Rays, White Sox and Astros are each “involved” on both Encarnacion and Cardinals first baseman/outfielder Jose Martinez, according to Morosi.

Dont want Edwin. He'll make $21.6 million next year. He's got a 2020 team option for $20 million with a $5 million buyout.

Indians are sending money wherever E5 goes. And if they aren’t then I agree with you, don’t want him

Martinez I like

Sounds like we aren’t moving Tucker or Whitley but no other team has made a move to beat the package we’ve offered

@pedrogomezESPN

Just ran into Scott Boras at Houston airport as we were each headed to different gates. Asked if he was switching planes or was in town. He gave a very cryptic answer insinuating he was IN Houston. Hmmmm, Bryce to the Astros?

Can you imagine being Pedro Gomez in this situation and doing this for a living? Lol what a loser.

Hearing that the Astros and Mets have recently been engaged in trade talks. Houston has shown interest in Seth Lugo and New York has been doing some background work on Astros minor leaguers. Unclear if talk has gained traction.

EE has averaged 109 RBI and 38 HRs a year since 2012. Also his career HR spray chart could not be more perfect for MMP. Yeah he costs a lot of money but 100+ RBI and 35+ HR guys aren’t growing on trees.

Yeah, his salary won’t set me back a bit. LOL

And I wanna say the Lugo guy has a LA connection.

Maybe ULL?

Lugo is nasty. I dunno if he can hold up as a starter long term but it would be a great move if it’s low cost. He’s a rich man’s McHugh as far as the stuff IMO even if he’s a reliever long term

He has the like highest spin rate in MLB on his breaking ball

Robbie Ray, LHP, Diamondbacks — Ray may be the next Diamondback to be traded. There is word that teams are calling about his availability. The Phillies and Astros are very interested. Ray, 27, went 6-2 in 24 starts last season. He earned $3.95 million and is arbitration eligible for the second time.

Okay I've been out of the country the past 3 weeks with not much wifi access, but I wanted to ask you DATers a question.

Even with adding Brantley, I still think we need another really good bat and I was a little disappointed that Cruz picked Minnesota and not us. What do you guys think about possibly going after Edwin Encarnacion?

Seattle seems to make it clear he is available for trade. He has one year left I think so it wouldn't cost us a lot, and he is still a very solid power hitter. In Minute Maid, I think he would be a great fit honestly. Thoughts?

Never mind I see some of yall have put in your input already the past few posts about him. Thanks for that.
