Paredes to 1B with Cam Smith opening day at 3B. Don't @ me.

That’s probably the way Cam Smith would somehow make the opening day roster

Has there been any mention of why Diaz is not even listed on the lineup card?
Has he been traded for Realmuto and Justin Crawford?
Off McVoy dream it into existence, or was it another poster? Need my Geritol

ST cards only reflect the players available to play in the game. Most likely, Diaz was catching some bullpens today or maybe someone was throwing a simulated game on a back field.
You're very rarely (if ever) going to see Diaz and Caratini on the ST lineup card together.

a 34 year old 1b who missed over a month last season is injured. I, for one, am shocked. Next thing you know his bat speed will unexpectedly start slowing. No one could have ever predicted this... again.

I asked Grok to tell me about the DAT on Tigerdroppings. In part....
quote:
The tone of the DAT is often informal, humorous, and unfiltered, reflecting the camaraderie and intensity of Astros fandom. Fans debate managerial decisions (e.g., criticism of Dusty Baker, nicknamed "FODB" or "Frickin' Old Dusty Baker"), roster moves, and game outcomes, sometimes with colorful language or memes. The threads also reveal a sense of community, with recurring posters and inside jokes, like references to downvoting by rival fans (e.g., Yankees or Braves supporters) or playful banter about players like Martín Maldonado ("Moldy").

Sorry, Skynet. You're not ready yet.

Three knocks for Cam now
Let a ball go through his legs at third, but gosh damn he’s barreling almost everything

I saw a Correa comparison for Smith today. And if you go back and watch Smith through that lens, I see it. The size, the oppo/center line drive contact. Like that knock he just picked up...line drive into right center. That looked like a Correa hit didn't it?
