Hopefully FODB gives him ample opportunity to make the job his own for once and doesn’t designate Dubon as anyone’s personal center fielder.

From June 28th when he was recalled Chas hit .265/.362/.417/.778 with 5 doubles 1 triple 8HR 28RBI 31 walks 64 strikeouts in 70 games, 57 starts.

I'd be perfectly content if he could maintain that production.

Completely agree.

I think Chas will be an acceptable hitter this year.

Re: Chas -- I'd like to see his strike out rate drop a good bit.

Re: Framber -- Astros asked him to skip the WBC. I suspect an extension with Framber will be announced closer to the beginning of ST.

I like the smell of what Dana Brown is cooking.

Rome asked him if Jim cranes aversion to long term deals could change.

"I told him to buckle his seat belt. It's time"

If Tucker gets done before Framber and Cristian, I will be pleasantly surprised

I can't see a scenario where they can pay Tucker a higher AAV than Yed, but they could go higher term-wise

Tucker deal would be a 10-12 year type we have seen other teams do or it ain't happening.

Agreed. Minimum 10/$300M or he's taking it to free agency.

Per Framber before the official statement that he wouldn’t play the WBC

quote:

"I would like to play in the 2023 WBC, but I pitched a lot of innings last season. I'm not ready, I have to rest my shoulder. I'll talk to my psychologist to see what decision I'll make."

I surely hope that “shoulder” means his arm in general and that it’s just a safety measure after so many innings pitched last year. If not, that’s troublesome.

Psychologist? I know these guys have them, but thought it was to help them with their game, not decide whether to play.

Can Framber heal himself with cognitive behavioral therapy?

I didn't put a whole lot of stock into Brown's "talks with Tucker" statement. I read it as a new GM making contact with Tuckers reps.

Framber has had a sports psychologist for a while, he’s said it helped him turn a corner with regards to his control issues after 2019. Not sure what input he would have on injury recovery but if you listen to Framber talk it’s obvious the sports psychologist is a big part of everything he does at this point

If I recall, Correa's "sports psychologist" broke a couple of his ribs.
