I don't want him eating up valuable at bats from Dubon.

If Dusty was going to use him as he should I’d be fine with but you know he won’t. He will play him all the time. For that reason I am out

I had purged his existence. Maybe Brad Ausmus will jettison him in Myles Straw fashion.

See, that's where the crux resides

What I can see is Abreu not scooping anywhere near Yuli's expected rate, and us bitching and wishing we had a late defensive replacement at 1st for the final outs.

Of course, Yuli's knee could be a factor there.

If Mancini could only get 15% of the innings at first last year, Dusty is giving Abreu at most 50% of the innings if Yuli is on the roster.

I've said it before, you've got to keep the dangerous things from the morons grasp to keep him from hurting all of us.

Yeah, I get the Baker Factor, but if Yed truly ends up being a legitimate LFer, Abreu is gonna DH a lot.

With all the damn resting starters are gonna get whether we like it or not, Hensley and Diaz will probably end up getting just enough ABs to become Dubon in the DATs eyes

Trust me, I've been through this before.

We'll all be begging for a guy like Yuli to make some frickin contact for a damn change.

Not if Uncle Mike stays healthy.

Speaking of change… you think new GM Brad will be at Ken Giles’ don’t call it a comeback workout?

I think Yed plays the field more than Brantley

It's the arm, not the knees

But just seeing this warms my heart

My body is ready for some damn baseball. I can only watch Ken Burns docs so many times.

Agreed, but if Brantley stays healthy Dusty will want that 3rd LH bat, which leaves the DH spot. Except for the obvious weekly rest days in addition to scheduled off days.

And I expect to see this on steroids this year with the success of last year

Maybe if the Rangers get off to a fast start, we might be blessed with only 1.5 days of rest per starter per week instead of 2

You can't jettison dubon with Only one other CF on the roster.

I think they are both going to prove to be clear-cut better MLB hitters than Dubon. Let's give it into the mid-summer to see. You can always trade for a veteran bench bat if needed.

I wonder if Tucker not signing long term could affect him playing some CF

Yeah, it’s not really like my heart’s set on Yuli, but his price is going to be good bang for your buck
