Come on Astros fans are sensitive, look at ant DAT thread when they're losing
What’s wrong with not liking to lose? I hate losing. And when we lose we bitch about it amongst Astros fans, the same way we do when rejoicing a win. But you can damn well be sure when we win I’m not going around looking for an opposing team’s fan to rub it in his face.

Hell if Altuve is playing 2B, put Marwin in LF, Kemp CF, Springer RF and give Gattis DH.

You're comparing going to a park and cheering for you team to coming into the other team's message board thread and trolling them. If you go to Minute Maid Park and cheer the Red Sox, that's awesome. If you troll the Astros fans and start talking shite to them, you're garbage.
Cheering and trolling are two different things.
Stop being disingenuous.

So when you go to an opposing teams stadium to cheer for the Stros, you just sit there and golf clap when the Stros do something good?
When I was in Fenway earlier this year, Bregman hit a bomb and the Stros fans around me went nuts. I didn't stand up and call them a moron, stupid, and a worthless piece of shite or tell them that were shitting on all of Red Sox nation's couch and to leave immediately
That’s fine if that’s what you were doing.
The dat is a relative small knit community on a very large board with very faithful but volitale group.
What you are doing is not celebrating with fellow Sox fans in Minute Maid. What you are doing is going to an Astros dive bar and picking out the drunkest looking table and mocking them and then trying to figure out why you got punched in the face.

Y’all are wasting your time responding to first time posters in these threads.
Just ignore and keep discussion amongst the guys that do it daily. We all know by now.
There was one guy yesterday in Sunday’s leftover thread that showed he had enough knowledge to contribute something, and he didn’t post in today’s thread.

Well I apologize that I hurt your feelings by cheering for the Sox in your historical DAT thread and stating the obvious that more bandwagon Stros fans have appeared in Louisiana and this board as of last year, which is expected, it's just always funny to see.
I hope that and this kiss from Mookie is sincere enough for you.

Lineup talk right now seems so hopeless with these performances. There are no less than 5 players that seem to be reliving their worst droughts they experienced during the season:
Yuli
Gattis
White
Reddick
Marwin (maybe not quite as bad)
You throw in an ailing altuve and a broken correa and you’re putting a lot of pressure on our pitching staff to be almost perfect and on springer and bregman to be even bigger than they have been.

Nothing, but I don't post in them because of the whining. Acting like another team is impeding in your thread when it is a playoff is just fricking stupid especially when we all know we would be boasting bit we won

I hear a ton of negativity here from Astros fans, but honestly win game 4 against Porcello, and you are right back in the driver's seat, especially with who-knows-what is going on with Sale.
On the other side of the ledger, if you are a Sox fan, and have watched this team more or less every night, you can tell it looks like they are about to go on one of the many runs they had this season of not being able to lose no matter what. Of course a dominant start out of Charlie Morton would change that in a hurry. I feel like Porcello is the best Red Sox pitcher right now with Sale being in the shape he is in right now.
I am very happy to get this win tonite, which is basically game 1 flipped the other way, but am in no way comfortable yet. If Procello is in form and Sox win again tomorrow, I think PJ's prediction is coming true.
And as for all the talk about how shitty the Sox pen is, it comes down to basically one thing - when they don't walk people, they are very, very good with all power arms and the ability to get swings and misses. This pen was very, very good for large portions of this season as evidenced by the win total. When they have had periods of difficulty, its is not because they have gotten carved up, its been because of walks.

I think the pen comparisons mostly favored the Astros because the Red Sox starters were not pitching deep into any games, and the pen arms have accumulated more innings.
That and Kelley and Kimbrel having recent struggles.

We aren't going to have two game threads. It's not happening. So call this the DAT all you want but it's the game thread and you don't own it.

I think whoever wins tomorrow wins the series. If Morton wins, the Astros can throw Verlander and Cole to win the series in games 5 and 6. I like the Astros chances again at that point.

Yeah, I feel the same way.
But this isn’t about baseball anymore.
It’s about me starting a thread tmrw that I own, and Hester Carries can’t post in it.
It’s happening. Just b/c he’s one petty sounding mutha fricka. LOL

As a Sox fan I think tomorrow is crucial. I have no faith in Sale as the Astros have owned him.
Tonight the Astros didn’t seem to have a good approach at the plate. Very uncharacteristic.
As said above the Sox have been very streaky and tonight seemed like they could be starting another streak.
I’m worried about our pen and would like to get a 3-1 cushion. At 2-2 I think Houston regains a nice advantage, even having to return to Fenway.

We've got to win 3 out of 4 against a team that won 108 games. Altuve is banged up, Correa has sucked for 2 months, Yuli forgot how to hit a flyball etc. Tomorrow is quite possibly win or die because I'm not sure this team can win 3 straight against the Red Sox.
