What is our team avg w runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs scoring the run versus the league?

And not just the average which is bad enough, but the complete inability to make solid (or any) contact in those situations.

4-13 RISP.

2 of our RISP hits couldn't get rhe runner home from 2nd and they were ultimately stranded at 3rd. And we lost by 2. Fun game.

Ah yeah, my bad. I didn’t read it correctly.

You’re right though. Gotta be toward the bottom for sure.

I was in the car when the Trammell/Cam situation came up. Sparky was saying Trammell was good in those situations re not striking out. And then proceeds to whiff.

This looks to be the case.

2 game lead as of now.

Framber and Hunter Baby going this weekend against the Yankees. Time to see what this team is made of, they’ve put up a damn good fight so far this year, no time to lay down now when the reinforcements have arrived and may continue to arrive.

I just happened to catch a replay of the 1st inning of the game and a chance to see Arrighetti

I seem to remember him hitting 96+ prior to injury, but what I saw there was Lance Arrighetti Jr

Maybe too soon, maybe I didn't see enough, but McInjured also got some whiff rate on his whiffle ball shite

The problem is how hard the contact is in the zone. Did Arrighetti ever get more than 94 on the gun?

He averaged 94.1 on the fastball last year and it was 93.3 yesteray. Topped out at 94.4 yesterday. Looks like he got to 96-97 a couple dozen times last year.

Fastball is just an average pitch that he needs to live on the edges with because the rest of it plays. 36% whiff is pretty solid.

Added a RH pitcher. Numbers stink but he throws hard and is almost assuredly a better option than Nick Hernandez and Luis Contreras

This guy was DFA'd by the Braves, and cleared Waivers? Braves need all the pitching help they can get, so what does this guy bring to the table? Obviously not much.

Thx again for the info on Arrighetti

My memory isn't what it used to be, but seemed like he wasn't the same

I never question the Astros lab nerds on pitching.

I think there's no reason to be concerned about Arrighetti since he did not have an arm injury. We're just seeing them hurry back injured guys a bit due to necessity. I wish our boy Walter was 100%.

I’d like to update the log, I fricking HATE Randy Arozarena.

He’s a nice player, but holy shite his antics are insane, it took him 45 seconds to get back in the dugout after a homerun because of all the gay bullshite he does. That really triggered me

100% this. If we weren't in such dire straits with the starters, he absolutely could have used one more rehab start.
