To clean up Beltran's mess, I suppose.

Seems we only win when (Altuve) sits. Might as well just trade him now and get some value to make this team better.

These things are said in jest, e.g.

Ryno, I hear the Verlander talks are heating up.

ICYMI, Fulmer to the DL yesterday (elbow) for Detroit. Glad that suggested blockbuster didn't happen.

Brad Ausmus says there's no ligament damage. The Tigers are describing the injury as right elbow ulnar neuritis.

Anyone know if this is any sort of precursor to eventual TJ?

A bit odd to see a first baseman hitting 9th.

I may still have 1 or 2 of those 90's blue/gold hats from a giveaway at MM last year. They are velcro strap and say xfinity on the strap but I still wear mine every now and then.

They are hot as hell though

That's awesome for him! Astros fan for life now.

At 9 he's pretty impressionable. He's like every other kid, he follows who is good. However, LSU is the exception. So, with Bregs going to the Astros it stopped him from jumping on another ball club. Last night I think locked him up as an Astros fan. As long as Bregman doesn't go anywhere in the next couple years, I did my job and got him into being a Astros fan!

Edit:
A couple of these help too.... bonus points to who can guess the top one

Astros had a scout at his start last night, too.

ETA: AT&TSN to show Bagwell ceremony live at 5:25.

Probably a dumb question but with all the technology these days, why can't scouts just watch detailed video of pitchers starts?

You'd think teams could even have like a separate camera focused on the pitchers mound that isn't used for tv

I assume in this case the scout was just there for Kate Upton.

But yeah...sending scouts to showcases and tournaments for high school prospects or college summer league teams makes total sense to me

But for just 1 MLB pitcher when there's no doubt the technology is in place to do it? Seems like it'd be easier (and cheaper) to pause/rewind and analyze mechanics, pitches, etc
