I wasn't planning on starting another DAT tomorrow. Let me check my schedule.

I'll squeeze it in somehow.

It certainly seems to be the Summer of George if last night is any indication. Hopefully the boys start bopping again and I’ll feel more inclined to watch the games live rather than the following morning.

ETA: And damn, I was the last hold out taking up for Chas, but he has no redeemable qualities. Can’t hit anymore, fielding has fallen off, and has always been a mostly shitty base runner.

With Trammell and Dubon, you have 2 guys that can play CF until Jake is back, so you would expect Chas to be sent down when the next position player is ready

That's why I said we'll see what Espada is made of when that move is made. There is just no way a manager cannot see that Chas provides ZERO to this roster. If Chas ends up not being the corresponding move, no way Espada has any input whatsoever

It's so bad for him that you want to see him put out of his misery. If he sees 4 pitches, it's a win, b/c he's not making contact and every pitcher can fill up the zone with no worries. And if they miss the zone, he's likely to swing anyway.

From potentially our 2023 regular season MVP to battling Cooper Hummel for the rights to stay on the roster. Brutal stuff.

He'll always have '22 WS back home in Philly and The Catch

His greatest asset was oppo power. He got so good at the RC approach producing power that the league decided to bust him inside. He never really adjusted to that and any progress he made there hurt him trying to get back to what worked

I guess it could be injury related also, but it's not like we're seeing him recognize pitches and fly out to RF, so.....
