Woof Blue Jays offense.
20th game this year with at least 10 runs.

Oh right I see the Canuks are putting quite the slapstick on the Rangers arse. Making them look like a bunch of hosers eh?

Hopefully the Jays win tomorrow and then go cold. Would much rather play the yanks in the playoffs

Interesting factoid :
Jabroni has 21 wins since 8/1/2014. Tied with Bumgarner for that time period.

No. Hopefully they're just on an amazing run that won't continue through October because if it isnt, no one is beating those frickers.
I fully expect the Cubs to come back down to earth.

Sorry for your loss...I speak for everyone when I say cancer can go frick itself
Here's to making what could be a memorable next 2 months by the Astros even more memorable for you now because of his fandom

I think we can safely say that if Correa ends up with about 20 homers and 60 something RBI's that we can go ahead and give him AL ROY. He's out in front right now and he's only played 68 games.

I mean I'm pretty sure if he even plays the rest of the season below his average he's still got it locked up
Meanwhile, Twins won their 6th straight tonight. I know they've been consistently good (not quite great) all year so I hate that they don't scare me. There's a very high possibility they are going to be an AL team battling us at the top over the next 5-10 years with all the incredible young talent they have. Their organization has been eerily similar to ours the last few years in the sense of horrible performances on the field but the front office has done a great job loading up on prospects. I throw them in the category with us, the Cubs, and even Diamondbacks of teams who have multiple young future all stars in their system while exceeding their expectations for this year. I'm just writing this to try and remind myself going there and winning 2 of 3 isn't going to be some cakewalk

I'm intrigued by Miguel Sanó. He's been on a tear recently.

Also, our magic number with both Texas and LAA is now 31 after tonight for those of you interested (yes I'm on adderall and yes I will probably make a few more posts rambling before sunrise tomorrow)
So every time one of those teams loses that number is subtracted by 1 as well as every time the Astros win its subtracted by 1
We have 34 remaining games
Anaheim has 36 (6 against us)
Texas has 38 (7 against us)
I'm just gonna break down Texas because same concept will apply to LAA and I currently view them as a bigger threat
Let's say we go 3-4 in our remaining games vs Rangers (seems fair given how we always struggle with them, plus it's better to be conservative)
That would make our magic number 25 (3 Astros wins plus 3 rangers losses) with Houston having 27 other games and Texas having 31
Let's also say Houston goes 14-13 in those other games finishing 88-74. I believe that Texas would have to win 68% of the rest of their games going 21-10 to surpass us
TL;DR....if we play .500 ball the rest of the way while going 3-4 vs the Rangers....Texas would have to go 21-10 in their remaining games to pass us
Now I know a few people are gonna say it's way too early to look at this shite and we should just focus on ourselves, I agree, but part of the fun in a playoff race is keeping an eye on other teams in the race plus
*Everything I posted above could 100% be incorrect so nobody is allowed to be mad if it is

I was thinking last night.... for the last several years (ok..the last decade), September comes and the Astros are out of it. Saturdays are devoted to football and I was perfectly fine with that.
now we're playing relevant ball and we could have a race in September. Its not a bad dilemma to have though. I rely on streams anyway so football on tv and Astros on the laptop
