It's pitch selection with men on base.

Driving outside pitches the other way, especially with runners on base, has become almost like an allergy for most Astros hitters.

If only they had advanced analytics to assist their approach.

Great catch.

That stat just shows exactly what Jwho and Ryno are pointing out.

It also amplifies Hinch's inability, lack of desire, and stubbornness to implement any running game whatsoever.

I mean the guy is Earl Weaver after a frontal lobotomy, if any of you old-timers get my drift.

Back to Altuve, I noticed his injury prior to its announcement and I didn't see him favoring it at all last night.

But there wasn't much to test it either. Other than his exaggerated swing coupled with both feet moving.

And that looked fine.

Will be interesting to see the lineup today. If springer is out again kiss him goodbye.

How did Osuna look last night? I missed it. He hasn't looked very locked in yet to me.

He was shaky at first. Got ahead of the first batter 0-2 before giving up a hit to center. Got a strikeout then got ahead of the next batter 2 strikes and couldn’t finish him before giving up a full count hard smash that bregman ole’d putting runners on the corners with 1 out. Then he gave up a run scoring single to right. Then he looked dominant striking out a pinch hitting Cruz and dee gordon to strand the runners at 1st and 3rd.

He was on deck when Gattis grounded into the Astro record breaking 6th DP.

So, I expect he's good to go.

If not, just another reason to bitch Hinch

And it's a no win situation for Hinch, because if Springer is not able to play, he is using up a roster spot this team needs in a bad way right now.

No excuses.

Osuna gave up 3 hits and 1 ER in his inning. I was in bed and didn't see the hits, though. He ended up also getting three strikeouts in that inning.

2019 schedule is out. At some point next year we will literally be on to Cincinnati

Astros play NL Central next year in interleague play and travel to St. Louis, Cincinnati and Milwaukee. They won't go to Wrigley. The Cubs, Pirates and Brewers come to Houston.

Was hoping we’d go to Wrigley or Pitt, want to visit those stadiums and preferably when the Stros are there

Heard that. Also we blow playing in Tampa so I hate opening the season there

Shapes up for a very interesting September though

Not really.

His SF RBI was with bases loaded and he got under it. Probably was his best cut.

Yes. I have been waiting for Houston at Wrigley.

The wife has never been.
