DAT 8/20 Astros (Javier) at Rockies (Marquez) 2:10

While under construction, here is another discussion question...
Name your favorite obscure Astro from the 1980's.
Mine is probably Tony Scott. He wasn't "obscure", but he fits the category of "there is a name I haven't heard in a very long time". And I loved the 'fro.
Back to the regularly scheduled DAT...
Our good ole boys took matters into their own hands and did it their way last night with a beat down of the Rockies for a 7th straight win. 13 runs. 20 hits. That is a LOT more than the law allows. Everyone got involved. Coy. Vance. Cletus. Enos. I think Flash even picked up a hit. Even some of Hazzard County's more obscure residents got in on the action:
Longstreet Davenport (Cooter's cousin who mysteriously ran the garage for a few episodes)
And most importantly, perhaps, was the fact that this guy got back into the swing of things with a couple hits
Denver and Coors Field was just the right remedy for a struggling Astros offense. Daisy definitely enjoyed the mountain views:
The Rockies were the victim of a right proper Frambering at altitude...as Frambaw is becoming a star before our very eyes.
Unfortunately, not all the news was good. Cooter's garage is becoming full of Astros who are up on blocks and in need of repair, the latest being Alex Bregman, who suffered a blowout on his way to 1st base after a hit.
But the boys will press on today. Cristian Javier takes the mound against Rockies ace German Marquez. A tough task to be sure, but let's ride!

Ty Gainey
Joe Pittman
Rafael Landestoy also counts since he was around in 1980.

This is an ageist discussion.
My dad always said Bill Doran and Dickie Thonn were pretty good players though

I think Dickie Thon could’ve been a great, long career player if not for the beaning incident.

He came out of nowhere in 89 so I will include him:

Even with a loss today, 3/4 against Colorado is great. Especially if we can grab 2/3 in San Diego

I see blood, I want this sweep. Every win makes a huge difference in a 60 game season.

Bregs to the DL with strained hammy. Not surprising for anyone that saw his postgame interview last night....he seemed really down
Really hope he doesn’t continue to have issues with it throughout his career now as I know it takes forever to fully heal
