Not to worry y’all, out of our entire rotation of 5+ ERA starters, Singer stands alone as the worst. He only has 2 pitches (seriously, a starter with 2 pitches), and if you jump on him he will implode on himself.

This is not your college (or even rookie year) Brady Singer.

Not to mention, Hernandez and Lynch have been pitching well since July so they’re out of the way. Now you get Singer and Mike Minor

I’d imagine you can salvage the series split with those two going.

What you're missing is that the Astros have never faced Singer. Therefore, he's a lock for a career best outing.

Minor, though... maybe the Astros can avoid the sweep.

In difficult times like these I stop and reflect on the Latin phrase: "Ad astra per aspera". It's a reminder to keep your chin up, and that better days are ahead. Some scholars maintain the literal translation was lost hundreds of years ago, but I'm confident the English version is...

"frick off, Dusty Baker"

Source: Cuban LHP Yanquiel Sánchez (20) will sign with the Houston Astros in about two weeks and will become the 16th Cuban to belong to the Houston system, leader among MLB teams. Sánchez left Cuba in 2020 and has a good fastball (92 mph), CV (78 mph) and CH (80 mph).
