That was an error on the pitcher
Dude. The pitcher made a lucky arse grab on a swinging chop bunt in no mans land. That was not a routine play, by any stretch.
With a perfect throw, would have been bang/bang.
Definitely an error to allow the extra base.

Espada stormed off in the post game press conference after being pressed about Framber. Kept saying “what do you think? Next question” then took his paper and left

I wish he’d keep right on going.

Reporter: should Framber have been backing up home plate?
Espada: what do you think?
Reporter: yes
Espada: well, next question
Storms off before next reporter can ask a question

To be fair, that play had zero impact on the outcome of the game.
Someone should have asked, “Joe, two part question: why does your team consistently play down to the competition? And secondly, why does your team consistently turn shitty pitchers into the next Roger Clemens?”

It’s over. At least they stayed in the race long enough to keep it interesting until football season. Window is shut. This team won’t even hold on to a wildcard. But at least they gave us something to be interested in until football season.

Astros are winning in spite of Espada. He’s a horrible manager but they have enough built in team culture that they can overcome it to an extent. It was a stupid hire that was lazy, but not surprising. Just like hiring Dana was a lazy hire.
Astros have talent but lack leadership. That is why you see them beat the crap out of division leaders and the lose to awful teams.

We should gut the team so we can giggle about cute nicknames to give to our draft picks and guys like Cooper Hummel circa 2013

Mate, Joe has plenty of in game clunkers just like most average to bad MLB managers but this statement is just bullshite. Teams that lack leadership don’t overcome being 15 games under .500 in one year to win the division and weather an injury storm like they have done this season and still remain in 1st halfway through August. Something is working in the clubhouse. They don’t panic over one game results like fans
He and this group do still have to finish the job this season however as they are starting to get some starting pitching back

Maybe Sleepy Joe's balls finally dropped.

He is definitely on to Cincinnati

”I would say it 100 percent affected me,” said Houston starter Framber Valdez, who surrendered three earned runs without any offensive support. “I felt like I couldn’t even sit down, and I was already walking out to go out there.
“Sometimes that’s just the game of baseball. Sometimes the pitcher is going to have a better game, is going to throw a perfect game. It definitely affected me. I felt like I couldn’t even get a drink of water in and I was already out there.”
Framber is such a bitch. Guess that’s why he didn’t back up home plate.
He’s not wrong but he wasn’t great, either. And throwing teammates under the bus is not a good look. That’s twice in the last month.

I think he’s checked out with Houston. Ever since his quotes right before the trade deadline kinda said everything about his demeanor

He’s been a bitch since he made those comments on the outfield alignment weeks ago.

How many rock bottom moments will there be this season?
