The rookies need playing time in AAA.

Chas' playing days are almost over.

We now have 2 utility guys who will play a lot. The last 2 position guys on the bench will rot there.

For sure, just thought they’d give Melton a little more leash in center.

You wouldn’t need the switch hitter in that case because of Trammell and Chas you could deploy.

Hmm actually wonder if this means Dubon in CF more with Tuve DH and you need Hummel for emergency IF. Idk just fascinating. To your point it’s moot the 25th and 26th guys will now be sitting a lot more

Sanchez and Trammell are better than Melton and Melton is a real prospect who needs the ABs. It’s frustrating but I get it

They want Melton playing every day. He wouldn't do that with the Astros.

Likely so. Trammel probably starts regularly in CF against RHP as long as he keeps earning it.

How the hell does Cooper "Cockroach" Hummel keep surviving?

I think it probably came to options left. I don’t think Hummel had any more options not that I think he’s good enough

Nah. They could DFA Cockroach and he'd still end up in Sugar Land.

I could almost cry. It’s a legit MLB lineup for the first time since the Cubs series

Look at the lone OPS below .700.
