Velasquez vs Kluber
Posted on 7/7/15 at 8:16 am to TXGunslinger10
Going to be a tough challenge. Kluber is ridiculous. VV needs to hold them to zero.

The Rangers are below 500. Remember that thread a few weeks ago asking who would win more games? Lol

Yeah. If we could win this one, we might sweep

I thought Carrasco would carve us up and he got shelled. If VV is solid I think we have a shot.

This division will be decided by which GM makes the best moves.

Way too early to LOL at that. The season is halfway over.

Qualls headed down to Corpus for a rehab assignment.
Come on Texas League hitters. Keep him down there.
Also Feldman's line from Sunday...
3.0 IP 3 Runs allowed in 62 pitches. According to Brocail, he didn't really get his cutter going until that 3rd inning, and then he looked much better

I will laugh whenever I want. The Rangers came crashing back to Earth. The Angels concern me 10x more

If Daniels makes a trade for some help in the pen and a bat they could still make a run. That's where I see papelbon going

Definitely have been low key planning to bump that thread at the end of the season when we have more wins. Tonight is big, I want us to go 3-3 over these last few games before the break and it would be nice to get to work on that

Yep.

Definitely yep.
That said... I like the Astros chances.

There has been so little trade chatter these past few days. Either teams are being more tight lipped or there are some potential sellers who aren't ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Posted on 7/7/15 at 9:52 am to Tiger Ryno
I read most sellers are waiting until after the break.
Posted on 7/7/15 at 10:11 am to msutiger
It's tough, especially in the AL when the worst team is only 6.5 games out of the wild card.
Posted on 7/7/15 at 10:17 am to Ruxin
Yeah, that's why everyone is waiting. GMs want to look at the standings right before the deadline and know for sure they should kick the season before dealing.

Just going off the top of my head here, but how many "aces" have really held us down this year? We seem to hit them much better than the guys at the bottom of rotations that we should shell.

If the Astros wait till the deadline to make a move they will most likely not be in first place a that point.
Playing for a wildcard is a fools errand now where you can lose 1 game and your done.

Making a deal three weeks before the deadline and overpaying as a result wouldn't be too smart either
