I dunno about ol' Sippy. Likely will end up carrying 7 true relievers in the playoffs.

Britton?
Rondon
Devo
McHugh
Peacock
Smith
Sipp

There's no reason to carry Harris over Sipp right now.

Yeah I would think Harris is first on the chopping block right now for relievers

We'll be down by the left field foul pole tomorrow night, club level next to the broadcast booth Wednesday night.

I don't know anything about this account or if it has any possibility of being accurate so take it with a large grain of salt.

#Astros appear to be in lead to acquire #Orioles Zach Britton. Deal being discussed has 3 players heading to O's. Issue is the quality of prospects offered by HOUSTON isn't satisfactory to O's who want Kelvin Herrera type return for Zach. Any deal should be done by later in week.

Note that #Orioles have made it very clear to the #Astros they won't accept garbage return #Mets took on Jeurys Familia deal to #Athletics. The Wilpon's salary dump should not affect Britton deal. #PADRES return for Brad Hand was solid as #Indians paid hefty price in Mejia.

If the O's want a Mejia level player then they are targeting Whitley or Tucker. No way that happens.

I love how they think they've got the upper hand with a player who hasn't proven anything in two seasons. But yeah, let's try to bend the Astros over the barrel....

Not gonna happen. We won last time when Orioles screwed the pooch.

For a has been with a worse injury history than Correa, no way Orioles get more than what Mets got when there's no control involved.

dumb comparison. Hand is under contract through 2021 and the deal included adam cimber.

If what Familia returned was a 1, and what Herrera returned was a 10, we should give up about a 3 to stay to scale in value.

Well, at least we know Ludlow has tried to make them take Giles.

Archer is a bit more than I would have expected, but Tampa has always been a Yankees farm club

Heyman tweet from yesterday:

quote:

Competition appears keen for Zach Britton. At least 6 teams in, some in obvious need. With Herrera, Hand and Familia gone, the O’s may do as well for him as they did for Machado.

There's a reason Heyman bounces from one unknown media outlet to the next.

Archer is a two pitch pitcher. If that’s who the yanks end up with over going crazy and making the smart move in their position and backing up the dump truck for deGrom or syndergaard then I consider that a win for us
