It would be a typical typical Orioles move if they want to trade 2 months of Britton for an elite prospect and more. No team will do it and the Orioles could be stuck with them if that is their asking price. That franchise is being run by fricking morons.

A rather interdasting concept was just brought up on MLB Tonight.

What if the Nats have a terrible week and decide to become deadline sellers? As in, what if Washington would trade Bryce Harper? Now that's what you call an outfield bat rental.

I'd look at the Twins last year before I did that. No way he's staying in DC, though.

They are all in on keeping Harper and built to win now so I don’t think they would do that

That's likely the case, but if not...should Ludlow call?

I agree with you.

And I promise his production the rest of this season for whatever team willing to put up that bounty would pale in comparison to what they had to give up

Of course. Anyone in position to win this year should. It sucks Doolittle is hurt, that’s a guy who they might actually sell and would really help us

I think deGrom still has some control.

No way you get him with only LMJ, a prospect that was traded straight up for Josh Fields, and last year's 2nd round (?) pick

Nowhere else to discuss, not starting a thread over it, but Gary Sanchez is a big POS. LOL

I did enjoy him most of the ALCS last year though

I'm about as far away as possible of being a Yankee fan, but I am a student of ghe game, and I can't imagine how a true Yankee fan could ever forgive that dude after that.

And I don't mean just that last AB, but the effort on the missed sign- two base error that allowed a run, on top of his defense around the plate last year in the playoffs.

Yea it was. He did man up in postgame and say it was his mistake and he should have ran harder. On the wild pitch he said he should have hustled a little more. He is getting HAMMERED in the media.

He should be. He should also be getting hammered by his teammates. That lack of effort is inexcusable.
