I think the graphic showed his career avg with bases loaded was either .272 or .242

Either way, shockingly low for him

Somehow, Tuve seems to be one of the last guys you want up with the bases loaded. Before he grounded out to 3rd Friday night, their graphic showed he was like a .243 hitter in his career with bases loaded.

I'm not quick w the stats on it, but I think it's possible Altuve has this team's lowest lifetime batting average w bases loaded.

I was expecting a ground ball to third, but that AB was odd for such a good hitter.

Up 0-2, you elevate the fastball. Then you come back with another low fastball to a potential hall of fame hitter?

Why in the frick would you give Cruz a fastball with 2 strikes? And why would you put said fastball anywhere near the plate?

It was just terrible. After that eye-high fastball, you have to come back with the change up. Blame McCann as much, if not more, than Devo.

The pitch to Valencia is what should have been called and executed to Cruz. Off speed and away. The pitch called to Cruz was fastball outside corner and it leaked back over the plate into his zone. You couldn't have placed it in his barrel any better.

They tried to trick Cruz after the setup high heater 0-2 rather than just rely on his best pitch. Location was not ideal but the thought process was just bad. Cruz mashes heaters.
