DAT 6/3: Astros (Coffee Barista) @ Pirates (Livvy's Boyfriend) 5:40pm

Week in review:
- 2 game sweep vs the A's; Altuve had a multi-HR game
- LMJ had 12 Ks vs A's. Looked good but not dominant if that makes sense? Weird to say when a guy has 12 Ks
- Outscored 30-9 vs the Rays but split the series 2-2
- Bullpen shat the bed not once but twice vs the Rays
- Ort/Forrest combined statline: 2.2IP 15ER this weekend
- Framber made history. 9IP 9K 3H 1ER......83 pitches. Capped off by a Yainer walk-off HR. Suck it, Dusty
- JP3 had 3 HR this week. Arguably our best player this season not including Hunter Brown
- HB 6IP 5K 1H. His price tag continues to go up by the start. Boras client
- Jacob Melton made his MLB debut. He's fast
- Chandler if you're reading this, you're still a bitch
Injury updates:
- You are being lied to. Every injury and injury timeline is a fricking lie. Dana Brown and the medical staff think you are all stupid and are convinced that you will believe what they say
Yordan timeline of events:
- 3 May: scratched from lineup for hand discomfort
- 5 May: placed on 10-day IL
- 6 May: MRI/X-ray results show a muscle strain and team says he will return when he feels better
- 7 May-28 May: Dana Brown and Joe Espada go on a media tour saying that Yordan is healthy, hitting off a tee, running, doing live BP, and it's up to him to return but the team believes he is ready
- 29 May: Takes live BP at Daikin but has significant hand discomfort afterwards
- 29 May: Gets his first MRI/X-ray since 6 May
- 30 May: Whoops! Dana Brown says he's had a broken hand this entire time. Shutting him down entirely and no timetable for his return
- 30 May: Yordan meets with the media for the first time since injury. Says, "it doesn't surprise me that my hand was fractured...I knew there was something there that wasn't a muscle strain...Time passed, and it was supposed to get better, but it wasn't."
TLDR: Yed hand hurts. Yed shut down. Yed MRI/X-ray only shows muscle strain. Yed starts hitting again even though team doesn't do another MRI/X-ray so they can confirm he is cleared to hit. Yed hand hurts more. Yed gets another MRI/X-ray. Yed hand broken. Yed out long time.
How fricking stupid can our medical staff and GM possibly be? We have one of the most advanced medical centers in the United States and we can't seem to diagnose an injury correctly. It's astonishing. How does no one in the entire organization think to say, "let's get an MRI/X-ray done before we clear him to hit. It can't hurt to know." It's common sense and we lack it from the GM down
Looking ahead:
3 @ Pittsburgh (please note the weird 5:40 start times)
3 @ Cleveland

Astros announce that imaging on Zach Dezenzo’s left hand revealed that he has a left-hand capsule sprain. He has been prescribed with rest and is scheduled to undergo re-imaging in two weeks.
So, a broken hand? But we won’t know for two weeks? Got it.

Dang Pena. Loser AB. Showed up by a rookie in his 5th AB.

Unfortunately, my son cannot drive himself in after a double.

Like his life depended on hitting into it
Tried like Hell on first pitch but couldn’t keep it fair it was so inside
Our hitters are mostly the lowest IQ imaginable with no help from the bench

In my head I set the o/u for hits off of Skenes at 2.5 and we’re at 2 so far

I would enjoy no longer watching Christian Walker play ball for my team. Can we send him to the Florida Complex. Or Jose Abreus house. Jose isnt doing anything. Probably be happy to host.

If we could start LMJ vs A’s call-ups and the Pirates every time…..
But all joking aside, it’s more success than I expected and God help him
Pena has no approach vs Skenes other than swing at every pitch and try not to strike out. He has evidently shared this secret with his teammates
