That is awesome.

Have not been. Astros fans represented well for Biggio, I would expect the same for Bags.

We tried to get our 12 yo team a few years ago to take part in the World Series there, but too many parents that objected.

Stop doing this shite AJ.

Reddick vs LHP: .281/.333 (9/32) 3 walks 6 K

Jake vs LHP: .217/.280 (10/46) 4 walks 17 K

Maybe management is doing a knuckle check on Marisnick for a future trade. He's having his best season ever thus far, but obviously he's weak against lefties. Maybe they're testing how legit he is overall.

It would be hard to deal Marisnick, he is extremely valuable to this team

He's hitting .200 in June with a 33% K rate. Jakes back!

He has a .228 career average... so i guess that'll come up a little more?

Since I drop by here from time to time and hang out, I thought I might make an actual contribution (and since I was curious my own self)

Some Mike Fiers numbers:

First 9 starts: 5.21 ERA, 18 HR allowed
Last 5 starts: 1.72 ERA, 0 HR allowed

Astros are 15-9 overall since Fiers started this run of 5 great starts...Fiers is 4-0.

Since he gave up his chase of Blyleven and Lima for most HR allowed in a season, Fiers has been steady when the team has needed him most.

fiers is on fire, if he can keep this up then that gives us a legit #3
a legit 3rd option makes it to where we don't desperately need another starter and allows us to focus on a trade for a reliable arm in the pen or maybe another outfielder that can play everyday with springer and reddick to fill the hole that aoki and Marisnick leave in the lineup

And even if we still trade for another starter, it gives us and damn good rotation with
1 Keuchel
2 McCullers
3. Fiers/Trade
4. Fiers/Trade
5. Morton

Gray would be a great #3 and then Fiers/Morton/McHugh can make 4-5 spots work and help give Keuchel & McCullers more rest

I agree

also I really like sonny gray and I have liked him for a while

his era isn't pretty with his 4.5 but a lot of that is athletics defense

when we taxed him with 5 runs in the first the other day it wasn't pretty, but he pretty much shut us down the rest of his time in the game

and if all it really takes is a tip 5 and tip 15 prospect sign me the hell up

that and a team getting a hit while the defense is shifted and the hit goes right where the player would have normally been

happens to us all the damn time

Those first 2 balls to Cruz were actually really nice pitches from Martes but Cruz showed great patience. Brutal to walk him after being up 0-2

Walked the bases loaded and only 1 out. Flirting with disaster early on here, double play ball would be great

We're gonna have to package McCann to whoever we trade Martes to aren't we?
