I need to give Hinch credit for pinch running Marisnick for Gurriel

I've seen good managers not make that move, esp when you're not going to steal second and Gurriel does have improved speed this year

#Astros No. 3 prospect Yordan Alvarez flexing some serious ?? for the @cchooks:
1st 106 @MiLB games: 13 HR
1st 35 games in 2018: 11 HR
Not surprisingly, Alvarez jumped 20 spots on our updated Top 100:

Here's the freshly updated Top 100 Prospects list

quote:

Kyle Tucker, OF, Astros (No. 14 to No. 10)

After selling out a bit for power while slamming a career-high 25 homers in 2017, he's showing more patience while continuing to drive the ball and looks like a perennial 20-20 player.

quote:

Yordan Alvarez, OF/1B, Astros (No. 74 to No. 54)

Plucked from the Dodgers in a trade before making his pro debut, he has raked ever since and looks like he'll hit for plenty of average and power.

quote:

J.B. Bukauskas, RHP, Astros (No. 67 to unranked)

He has wipeout stuff but can't always locate it where he wants, and he has made just two starts this year because of an undisclosed injury.

Prom, was just skimming through a few pages I missed of the thread and saw this post:

I’d like to know how the hell he ended up with that job. I’d like to see his prior history

I don’t remember the exact details but I read an article sometime in the last year about him. I wanna say he was working as an intern when we made the move from the Dome to MMP and I guess they asked him to man the train temporarily as a part of his job. Then when his internship was over they basically asked if he wanted to do it full time since they didn’t have anyone else lined up and here we are 18 years later

I could be off with some of those details but that’s what I remember. I’m sure if you google Bobby dynamite astros you can find the article

Tucker picks up a walk off single in the 2nd game of the double header. 2-4 with a double and RBI.

Not ready. Has to polish off those defensive skills so he can get on Kemp’s level

Idk it sounds amazing now but think of having to be there every home game 2011-2014 when there’s prob 5,000 people in the stadium

Who pitches tomorrow? There was some confusion. AJ had decided to swap Cole and JV but then changed his mind.... so that would be Cole right?

Didn't they switch them because JV was better on 5 days rest than Cole?

Seems like they just decided to give Cole an extra day and we know JV is a workhorse.

After Verlander threw 122 pitches or whatever I think he switched them back
