When every person in the modern world can know within seconds whether a pitch was a ball or strike, yet the man who made the call has to receive a report after the game to find out, the validity and integrity of your game are in question.

Staneks command has gone to hell in a hurry. Fastball is all over the place.

When the Astros managed not to blow the game open early on 8 hits, you could have counted on "they won't score again" to happen.

Yankees not scared to walk Straw

He can’t slide, and the pitcher hits behind him

In Straw’s defense, I will say he has proven to be more disciplined and made much more contact than I expected

Still not productive enough to make up for his liabilities

Can’t take advantage of the breaks we get

5% chance we get a clean inning here?

Straw did good to get the pitcher’s spot out of the way for the next pitcher’s spot to lead off next inning

And it should be duly noted that Sanchez has Maldanado-like glove skills behind the plate

Stop jinxing them. They don't need any more jinxing.

It’s amazing he’s still the Yankees primary catcher

Dumbass umpire misses a whiff with the Yankees at bat and they'd use the 2nd life to park one... Castro uses his extra life to do the same thing.

I guess he's an honest man. Wasn't going to capitalize on something he didn't earn and steal a strikeout from NotWandy.

So here we go with Abreu.

In other uplifting news, Pedro Leon may be a humongous bust.

The way he strikes out and handles the mitt, I could see Whitley and Diaz to NY for Sanchez

They need a 2nd baseman. LOL

Abreu vs the top of the order is complete boom or bust. If hes got his slider working, he could look great. If not....
