Happy Cinco de Mayo!

The Astros have one Mexican born player, Jose Urquidy.
The Yankees have one Mexican born player, Luis Cessa.

Obviously our Mexican is better than their Mexican, so for that reason, I'm predicting an Astros win tonight.

How about a fun game? Maldy vs average NL pitchers

Maldy: .094/.167/.136 (6/66) 1 double 1 triple 0HR 0RBI 6 walks 29 strikeouts (40% K rate)

NL pitchers .108/.136/.140 (5/48) 1 double 0 triples 0HR 2RBI 2 walks 25 strikeouts (47% K rate)

So we've got a DH for the pitchers spot but we're still carrying a starter who's a worse hitter than the average NL pitcher.

It’s crazy to see how the much the mighty Yankees have fallen. They were celebrating after winning a game in May last night, like they had just won a playoff game, and that win was against the ole Houston Astros. Once the Astros moved to the AL, the Yankees have sucked, and the Astros have owned the Yankees. Remember guys, a series in May means nothing

I think it was just a nice opportunity to throw a middle finger at the biggest cheaters and most corrupt bastards in baseball history. And to a Commish that has the morals of a porn star.

The hilarious part is idiot Yankee fans singled out and chanted "frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE. frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE, frick ALTUVE" for 3 straight hours on loop because hE wOrEd a BuZzER!!!! while simultaneously ignoring the same (fake) account that spawned the buzzer shite also said Gleyber Torres wore a buzzer as well.

It’s just ironic that they’re the ones crying the most about cheating. I’m sure all 27 of those championships they won were rightly earned, with no cheating involved what so ever

Coming from an LSU fan that still can't get over Peterson out of bounds.

Here's Jose Novice's report card from last night

And the other two games we've had him behind the plate this year

So we're 0-3 in games hes called this year with his calls favoring the opponent between .7 and .8 runs per game.

Also, is there a worse type of person than a person who is a fan of the Bama/Yankees combo? I think not.

That’s just baseball. I don’t like complaining too much about umpires strike zones. I mean 90+% accuracy and consistency is pretty dang good. Isn’t he a newer umpire too? Was probably nervous and had never worked a game with that much intensity

Did you mean AL pitchers?

An NL pitcher hit a grand slam last night. Maldy doesn't even know what that looks like.

I'm not a huge umpire complain guy either, but his biggest misses were in spots that flipped the game. He was bad both sides, but in leverage spots he didn't give the Astros an inch.

The two to Correa with runner at 2nd 1 out and 2-0 count
Rang Tucker up on a ball 3 inches off the plate
Gave Odor, who could possibly be the worst hitter in baseball, two balls on pitches in the zone with two outs in a tied game.

Astros likely still lose because they didn't score again but shite that's a lot of calls that didn't go your way for one game.

Systemic cheating for an entire season and playoff. My money is on the Houston cheaters. When MLB looks the other way and crowns a phony champion and phony MVP, then the entire sport of baseball is corrupt to the bone.
