Tuck isn't carrying the offense anymore and it's cratered.

Ump missed strike 3 followed by a 66 mph double down the RF line.

Is there a true leader on the offensive side? I mean, Altuve is a HOFer and a veteran, but who is the Brantley type who will chew on some arse when everyone seems to be sticking their heads in the sand?

ETA: I know Brantley didn’t chew on arse, but talk to the team and they listen like what happened during the 2022 World Series.

Unfortunately the last real leader of this team is playing short for our opponent tonight.

People will say MM but I’ll never believe that dreck. No one listens to a .100 hitter.

That says a lot about the leadership void that the de facto ‘vocal leader’ was a fat arse light hitting catcher who prob did all he could to slow down Yanier’s development.

I will always give credit to Martín for knowing his limitations and absolutely standing on top of the plate and taking a HBP to get on base in a high leverage situation last postseason (I think it was last postseason). He should have done that way more often though.

Again, I'll point to the first place Mariners firing their hitting coach. The results have been shite and they're not complacent. Take notes Astros

I don’t want to see Chas in an Astros uniform anymore. He’s gotta go to Sugarland and just bring up Loperfido to platoon with Dubon.

No doubt about it. The issue right now is we’re in uncharted territory. Other than the covid year, no one on this team (while they’ve been Astros) other than Altuve, has any experience with suckage of this kind. I honestly don’t think they know what to do. Sure there have been periodic lapses but when they’re winning 100 games, leadership just sort of takes care of itself.

Dubon may be the only one not tethered to his own stats as to whether they are invested in the team on a game to game basis. Of the regulars.

So aggravating. Just blows my mind they won’t do anything. From the owner to the coaches to the players. Mind blowing to me that they think some kind of 12 game winning streak is coming. There is absolutely no way with this offensive approach that anything close to that is happening.

Back of the baseball card review reveals a 16 game winning streak is on deck.

Well, frick. I been following you frickers for several years and just signed up to post this year. I will say that they were already sucking arse when I signed up, but will go back to only reading if the DAT elders sense a disruption in the force!

So many lazy fly balls.

I’ll give a pitcher credit if they are on and spotting pitches with gross stuff, but Lopez was not 7 IP 1 ER good tonight. Just the biggest at bats fell to the shittiest hitters on the team and they did what shitty selfish hitters do.

Chas, Yainer, and Tuve are all going like bottom 20 players in baseball right now and they are hitting consecutive.

Btw Sundays game is at noon on Roku TV so that may be an opportunity to not watch.

Yordan Alvarez drove in 4 runs in the month of May. Wrap your mind around it.
