On a serious note, very disappointing last 2 games. Could have easily won the series against one of the best teams in baseball.

Yep should be heading to Chicago 3-1 with the back end of the lineup starting to produce. Instead coming off two late inning collapses and our second highest paid player is begging to be cut.

I know Gomez makes it difficult but damn AJ let's pretend to be interested in winning a ballgame. Pitching our ousted starter turned long relief man with a 1 run 7th inning lead is stupid at best.

AJ's decisions are starting to cost us wins at a similar rate to Gomez.

Frankly once we had the lead and the inning before Gomez had misjudged that ball that hit the wall he should have subbed in marisnick for his defense.

And he misjudged the very next ball from the next batter that could have been caught.

Unfortunately it may be too late now but I feel like Castro and the valbuena white Gonzalez triangle are producing like can be expected. Our big big black hole is centerfield. We have an mvp candidate leading off and George and correa are playing like their talent is. Our pitching wasn't terrific but bostons lineup is fantastic right now and they certain did enough to win 2/4.

This may be the last game I actually sit down to watch until Gomez is gone. If he stays, the Astros are a joke.

DVR is your friend. I will never watch another game without the ability to fast forward.

Yeah it is disappointing knowing they needed three wins on this trip to keep treading water and they let a couple slip away. The Keuchel game was awful, blowing the game in the 9th yesterday hurt, and Gomez being terrible wasn't a surprise, but otherwise there were some positive signs.

I may be in the minority but I think they're playing better, they just have to stop finding ways to give games away. The next home stand is going to be huge. If they lose both of those series then they're going to be in really bad shape.

When can gattis get back? Get him back and between kemp and marisnick figure out someone who won't lose games

He's been catching every other game for about 10 days, so he's probably caught about 5 games. Hopefully not much longer. He'll play on Castro's days off and should also improve the production from the DH.

They are. Gomez needs to be gone now. Kemp up to maybe play LF. Move Rasmus to CF. Next month, Moran and Reed if needed (it will be).

Excited for Kemp. Wasn't sure if he'd ever play as an Astro.

Right, they need some help and moves have to be made. Keuchel needs to at least be better than garbage even if he doesn't return to 14-15 form, and a few other things that aren't far fetched. But I don't think they're quite to the point of it needing to be blown up.

That opens up a spot on the 40 man so it could be anyone. I think it's a safe bet to be a LH bat, but whether it is Kemp may depend on what the plan is for Gomez over the next couple weeks.

The Rangers showing some brass bolas out there. Sigh. I wish our team had that.
