Babe Ruth used to be a great hitter too. Dump him in batters box today and his past abilities don't mean shite.

This idea about "were not gonna talk strategy, he's going to hit because he hit when he wasn't washed up" is the kind of sit and do nothing complacency I was talking about.

This sucks. I hate it when the offseason doom and gloom comes to fruition.

Trade Abreu and Singleton for a bullpen arm like Tungsten ODoul.

Call up Loperfido and move Alvarez to 1B. Do something.

Forrest Whitley was activated off the minor-league injured list. Shawn Dubin is also starting a rehab assignment today at Triple-A

We're just gonna ignore JV getting shelled in Sugarland. Deal with that another time.

Verlander has given up a two-run triple and now back-to-back RBI doubles in the second inning. He’s allowed five runs.

I said we're ignoring it.

This community simply can't deal with our injured 41 year old ace getting shellacked by minor leaguers.

We've got a 1st baseman so bad, his struggles are giving Jon Singleton 3 starts a week. What a bad situation.

Also it appears Espada has fallen into Dustys habit of slotting shitty backups into the lineup slot of the guy he's replacing.

Justin Verlander has already thrown his changeup nine times in the first three innings of his rehab start. He threw it nine times or more just twice in 27 regular-season starts last year. Perhaps he entered wanting to work on it. So, take the overall results with a grain of salt

Forrest Whitley made his season debut today in Sugar Land. Threw 17 pitches and touched 98.6 mph with his sinker. He gave up a home run to the first batter he faced, but retired the next three.

He's ready for our pen. Wastes no time giving up runs.

Didn’t they say Loperfido was going to get time at 1st in Sugarland? Is giving him a shot at first not a possibility?

I thought he played it some in college too.

Anything is better than this shite.

I’m gonna set aside the fact that Singleton shouldn’t even be in the organization, much less the big club for a second. Why in the frick is he batting sixth tonight? Is it because he ate the three guys below him in the lineup?
