Shohei Ohtani had an incredible first inning. Fastball hit 100, threw a sinker that dropped nearly straight down. The 2nd inning hasn't gone so well. 3 hits included a 3 run homer.

I honestly cant believe that mike scioscia of all people is going along with that circus

There may be an adjustment period but Ohtani's stuff looks really good.

IMO they abandon the hitting experiment down the road this season and he becomes purely a pitcher.

Agreed. As much as I want him to get at-bats. His hitting will be useful in NL-games and when they need a pinch hitter.

but its mike sciosia and hes playing him both at the plate and on the bump and straight from Japan, no minors? I mean its not like its Joe Madden its sciosia.
