JV feeling good after 60 pitch session using his full pitch mix. Facing live betters is the next step. Timeline is tight but a chance he’s available for opening day.

Yainer’s homer was hilarious. Kinda fooled on a slider and stood up on it/guided the barrel through the zone and it still got out. Just crazy raw power.

Chapman’s deal with the Giants could be a hint on where Bregman will stand with another year similar to his last 2

Definitely pulling for him to have a good year, but status quo would have his market very affordable

May not matter if they decide to go all in on Tucker

It's a little bit blasphemous to the Golden era but part of me still wishes we had traded Bregman for a haul and signed Chapman.

In today's version of "who's stats is it?"

Who's stats are these?

Exactly who I thought. He's someone else's problem now.

The only reason I looked is because I saw a headline in my feed: "Reliable veteran exhibiting leadership on and off the field for Sox" or some similar bullshite.

And with that, I knew immediately who they were talking about.

He's projected to be their starting catcher. the other two catchers are fellow Astros castoffs Max Stassi and Korey Lee

White Sox upper management is obviously big fans of the Astros when it comes to the handling of their pitching staff, b/c none of those guys are providing anything else

Verlander to start on the IL

quote:

Espada added that Verlander is “doing really well” in his progression, but the team wants to be “smart” rather than try to rush the three-time Cy Young winner back for the Opening Day nod.
