We're 2.4m below the second threshold on Fangraphs. Idk the repercussions of crossing that but I'm assuming they'd rather not.

Including Urkel in a deadline deal could do the trick.

Left handed hitting outfielder who can play left or center should be in play come the deadline unless Jake shocks the world.

Jake is going to get his last chance in Houston to be an everyday player while Chas plays LF and Yed is DH most days. Catcher will be MUCH better daily at the plate. Dubonnarooooo will still play a bunch. Finding a cheap LH bench bat (who can play 1B at minimum) would be helpful.

Astros owner Jim Crane to MLB.com on Hader deal: "We think we have a good team and it adds a big piece to the back of our bullpen. With Pressly and Abreu, you have three quality guys, 7-8-9, wherever they pitch. We think it gives us a nice chance to get to the playoffs and make a run at another World Series."

So we got rid of Moldy, got rid of FODB, and actually spent some money?

Kind of a dream off season

Fine with them giving Singleton a month or two getting pinch hit and spot starts but once he's DFA'd that hole will need to addressed. He does put up QAB's but pretty worthless outside of that.

Hopefully they work Caratini a good bit at first base since he hits from both sides. Pretty interesting offensive profile, hits the ball hard and doesn't strike out at an outrageous clip. Think he could be valuable at the bottom of the lineup more than once a week.

This is why I still love all you guys (no homo) except Ryno. At least you guys can all poke fun at yourselves in the end.

I still feel like a starter wouldn’t hurt. JV isn’t getting younger. Hopefully the league hasn’t figured out Framber. Although I do think Hunter Brown will be a high end 2, maybe even a bottom end 1, but not yet.

The starting rotation won’t be as good this season, IMO. Curious as to how their numbers play out this go round.

What are his metrics in CF? I haven’t really looked at them at all

Seems to be the plan currently but how much do we really want him at 1B considering he's going to also catch over 50 games minimum?

I'd love for them to add Brandon Belt.

Dubon is passable in CF but we really need him as a true utility guy who spells a lot of people (especially Altuve at 2B). That's how he is best used, of course. I'd expect Jake to have to be really awful at the plate not to play a bunch in CF for at least half the season.

The backup plan is apparently a Chas/Dubon/Kenedy Corona hodgepodge.

I'd like to see one more decent batter, particularly in the OF. Don't think Jake is an every day guy at all.

Belt is basically a ML version of Singleton instead of a AAAA version. I would approve. Joc is my dream signing but that isn’t happening
