Can we discuss what a bitch Chandler Rome is?
Ohhh no! The common plebs are doing the work of our brave and noble media. We shan't lessen their importance by reminding them how ultimately irrelevant they are.

At least when the Astros used to let fans into A.J. Hinch's postgame news conferences, they kept them silent.

@JakeAsman
The Houston Texans just ended their press conference with Nick Caserio and David Culley by taking a question from a fan. 14 media members had their hands raised to ask a question and they were not called on. Pathetic.

Assman can count hands super fast. Maybe he should be a teacher instead.

I agree in principal with what you said, but it was a complete shite show presser and a perfect ending to that disaster. The question was from "Texan Melissa" if Culley could give a message of hope to Texan ticket holders... a total fraud and set up.

Chandler Rome has been a crybaby for a few years now.

I saw where Kike signed for 14M over 2 years
If he is a legitimate CFer, I would have loved that signing
Big buds w Correa and he had history w Astros with some upside
Off topic- LSU basketball is a huge waste for anyone that’s stupid enough to invest time in it. Those who invest money should file criminal charges. LOL

LSU's season ended Saturday. Wade needs to make some damn strong offers to people who can coach his team for him.

Wade won’t end up being worth the scrutiny
But don’t ya think Kike is easily worth 7M/yr if he can play CF?
At only a 2 year investment

It seems like the idea is to not have to spend money on CF until during the season to keep that salary flexibility for whatever they might need later.
And I really think they expect to have Leon in CF fulltime in 2022 so spending on more than 1 season definitely wasn't happening.
That said, I'd rather have Kike while dumping Diaz for the CF potential and guaranteed utility value so that they could justify the signing, provided he'd even have been willing to come back to Houston.

That’s the kinda insight I was searching for
Going check to see what we’re paying for Diaz

So we’re paying Diaz 3 M for this year only
I can see where Click stands much better, now that you laid it out
I really just don’t want to see a White situation at DH playing out in CF w Straw

Yeah, there's no doubt it's a dice roll with Straw playing a whole lot if his defense doesn't settle in as above average since his bat will likely be well below average.
But if the goal is to survive the situation for no more than about half the season, I can understand it. Straw could take a jump forward and be roughly average, which would be just fine with his speed threat. It's the only way to really find out what he can do.
My fear is Dusty thinking it's a good idea to actually ever bat him 1st rather than 9th.

I assume that's the list of 2B? That list is beyond mother fricking trash.
McNeil at 2?
Cavan Biggio at 5?
Cronenworth at 6?
Albies at 10?
Tuve at only 9?
So no name nobody nothing at #7?
That is the worst ranking I've ever seen for anything ever baseball related frick.

Second base is weird this year. Pretty much no “elite” talent and just a bunch of similarly talented players who all have different skill sets.
Albies at nine was the biggest eye opener for me.

Maybe he is related to former Astro great, relief pitcher Julio Solano (mid 80's).

Colome got 5M
Soria got 3.5M
At those rates there has to be a solid arm we can still get for around 2M. I've accepted Straw in CF, but there's no reason we can't afford 1 more arm.

True. I notice Jake McGee and Shane Greene are available. Wouldn't mind either of them for the pen.
If either can pass a physical, I'd kick the tires on Taijuan Walker or Matt Shoemaker.

Ranking is from MLB Network.
Their SS ranking is almost equally bad.
