Toronto needs to go all in on Tyler Bauer.

Yea the pitching there is whack, Ryu is a ToR arm and Pearson has upside then it's just a bunch of 5th starters after that unless they can harness something with Robbie Ray
The bullpen looks to be below average as well even with them just signing Yates.
This year's Blue Jays are almost a carbon copy of 2015 Astros. (except Blue Jays don't appear to have a Keuchel, yet when 2015 season started, Astros didn't know Keuchel was going to be CyKeuchel)
2015 Astros
Keuchel
McHugh (was a claim from waivers)
McCullers (21 yr old rookie, threw 125 innings)
Feldman (32 yr old nobody, 108 innings for Astros)
Hernandez (34 yr old, threw 84 innings for Astros)
Kazmir (31 yr old broken arm, 73 innings of suckage)
Other guys starting
Fiers (9 GS)
Velazquez (7 GS)
Oberholtzer (8 GS of starting suckage)
Deduno (2 GS)
Straily (3 GS)
Wojciechowski (3 GS)
Peacock (1 GS)
That was NOT a spectacular pitching staff. Astros struck lighting with McHugh, Harris, and Sipp.
I can see Blue Jays having a similar season.

Brantley to the Jays on a 3 year deal
Posted on 1/20/21 at 11:03 am to Floating Change Up
It's going to be so sad seeing Springer and Brantley having fun together in a different uniform
Their lineup per Passan:
Springer 8
Biggio 4
Bichette 6
Brantley DH
Teosocar 9
Vlad Jr 5
Gurriel 7
Tellez 3
Catcher position
That is a loaded lineup. Yep definitely renewing MLB.tv to watch those guys play

Wow. The Jays are going after it. What's gotten into them?

Still in my clipboard from the poli board but it works here too.

Interested to see how much it’s for. That one hurts, was holding out some hope we could keep him

Soooo putting our eggs in the JBJ basket?
You gotta think the Mets are gonna be after him as well and I don’t like our odds going against them at the moment

Yeah I don’t see Bradley happening honestly. Now that Brantley is gone I do like the idea of Benintendi as a bounce back guy in LF. I don’t think he’d cost much in a trade
Posted on 1/20/21 at 11:09 am to ShaneTheLegLechler
Now our outfield looks empty. How’s this gonna play out?
Posted on 1/20/21 at 11:10 am to ShaneTheLegLechler
The good news is if we ever lose the Astros, we've got a spare set in Toronto
Biggio
Teoscar
Gurriel
Springer
Brantley
Fisher
Thornton

Trade for Lourdes?
Posted on 1/20/21 at 11:12 am to 5 Deep
And yeah if we trade for Benny that doesn’t really solve our CF problem
