My take is a bit less emotional.
The emotional choice is to put White in the opening day lineup.
The logical, and sound baseball decision, is to start Marwin on the road, in Yankee Stadium against Tanaka.
You don't give your right handed hitting rookie his first MLB AB on the road in Yankee stadium to a tough right handed pitcher. You give that start to a solid switch-hitting veteran, who happened to hit .343 with a .442 OBP this Spring.
Why is Gonzales the better choice? Because you are starting your Cy Young Winning ACE and you do your best to protect HIM. Gonzales is the better choice for the NY Series. Maybe get White some PH ABs.
Start White in MMP.

White should play every day. If he isn't starting should have kept Danny worth instead.

Completely agree with you, White is going to play plenty, there is no point of starting him Opening Day over Marwin who is going to be a pretty big part of this team as the backup of damn near every infield position.

Both will play a lot, don't think it really matters who starts opening day

I hope tiger ryno can try not to be a complete idiot this year. I love the dat, but sometimes he ruins it.

Well that's not good - new LED lights in MMP blinded springer and a routine fly ball dropped right in front of him.

Could become a homefield advantage though.

The new LED lights are insanely bright apparently.

They have some adjusting to do. It looks too bright even on TV.

Who's the best writer to follow? I was following drellich but he's leaving. I don't care for McTaggart so who else is there?

Prospects Update
Not sure if this article has made its way to the DAT.
Really good piece on he up and comers in the Astros farm system.

With two new Chron guys coming in, it's wait-and-see.

Our offense is a bore so far.

Ortiz is garbage but he's leaving for St. Louis in a few days. I posted the twitters for the Ortiz and Drellich replacements a page or 2 back.
