The rules as is state of a DH moves to field you lose the DH for the game (pitcher would have to bat). But at this point it’s honestly worth the risk, pitchers would be just as competitive in emergency situation

This is another reason why fully guaranteed contracts suck… only 50% should be guaranteed, the rest has to be earned game by game via performance incentives.
Most of the Astros don’t deserve to be paid for these games.
