Hmmm...I suspect otherwise.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion

Hey I respect the talent on the Astros. They are a very good team. I think they win tonight and go on to lose the WS to the Phillies.
It's just the self loathing, victim playing,
stuff that I just don't get. It's too much.

I'm a Ranger fan. But I know the Astros probably win tonight because they have the better pitching in this game.
But one thing I notice on this board from Astro fans...the whiniest, bitching, complaining, victim card playing group of fans I've ever seen.
Yep. You're in the middle of a dynastic run. A run that literally started because your franchise was cheating for multiple seasons. Cheating. The rest of baseball didn't care anything about the Astros winning anything until it was discovered that they broke the rules to win and only fessed up when caught.
But you worship guys like Bregman and Altuve, both good players, and both integral to all the cheating. You cry and cry about Dusty Baker. You think umpires hate you. Your biggest defense was we aren't the only ones doing it.
All of baseball outside of Houston has zero respect for that franchise. Not to mention Osuna, Crane, front office shenanigans, etc...
So win your game 7. But for goodness sakes get some perspective. It's pathetic.
This is exactly what horse shite looks like. No one gives any frickS about what you think.

Hey it's almost like you are reading way to much into a daily thread for a team that plays 162 games a year and making a generalization.

Nah...I'm right. And you know it. Deal with it. Or don't. Don't care.
Only you're not. And I assure you that we do not care.

Proven by many and acknowledged by many current MLB players that he wasn't involved at all.

Not a defense. It's a fact.

Why would we care what anyone thinks?
So yeah...frick off.

Ok. Then why respond? Anyway I'll get out of here. Nothing personal.
Good luck and enjoy the game.

You haven't lived the Dusty Baker/Maldy experience. I'll excuse your ignorance.

You've been to 7 straight league championship series, on the verge of your 5th World Series in 7 years.
Any fan base in America would take half that success and be ecstatic.
What am I missing here?

Again, you are reading too much into a thread made by fans who watch a ton of games a year. People say silly things, some times part of a bit and some times out of frustration.
Of course any Astros fan is beyond ecstatic and pinch themselves dreaming over this run, but it's still okay to want more and to win every game possible and be bummed if something doesn't go there way and lash out in the moment. Every single fan base on the face of the earth acts the same way if you drill down into the psychos that watch a majority of the games. It is not unique to Astros fans its just unique because we have our own "community" within a general sports board.

Thought you were getting out of here? Guess you not shockingly lied.
Abreu suspension is also upheld til 2024.

I don't think he should have been suspended in the first place.

Praise be. Dusty mentioned in his postgame presser he had some thoughts to pitch Abreu two innings last night but didn't want to in case there was some common sense in this case and they kicked the suspension until next year.

Did Abreu try to go inside on Garcia as a message pitch in response to his HR celebration? Yes.
Did he intentionally hit him in the bottom of the 8th inning in a 4-2 game with the series tied 2-2?
Not in a million years.

If you haven't lived it, it can't be understood.
A brief pass through
Our offense has struggled at home immensely for nearly the last 30 games. We've got a catcher on the bench who hit .280 with 23 home runs this year. He hit .328 with 14 home runs at Minute Maid. One of the few guys on the roster who actually hits in this park. He's gotten 3 at bats 0 starts in the series. Dusty has doubled, tripled, quadroupled down on Martin Maldonado despite his hitting .170 and being at the bottom every defensive and framing metric. It's been that way all season. A better player has rotted on the bench because of his loyalty to veterans.
Last night, he pinch hit minor league Journeyman Jon Singleton (a .160 career hitter) with 2 outs, bases loaded down by 2 runs because lefties have a higher OPS against Leclerc. We had 2 hitters on the bench hitting .280 with 20+ home runs this year but he chose a minor league journeyman entirely because he was left handed.
It was analytics that built this team into the contender that it is but immediately after the world series our GM was fired because he and Dusty butted heads over managerial decisions. Dusty throws analytics out the window, manages with gut feel and "hey man" instincts. Our owner has aligned himself with Jeff Bagwell who hates analytics and Reggie Jackson who are perfectly aligned with Dustys old school ways. It's pretty well known that Dusty had a direct line to Crane through Bagwell and Reggie and he got James Click fired.
Live with that shite for 162 games a year. We've watched it. We've watched it lose games. When the owner planted his flag firmly on the side of (frick dem computers) and fired the GM, we've taken a 16 win step back, hitting has suffered, pitching has suffered. We barely made it into the playoffs this year. It represents an overall decline in doing the things that had made this team great. We made it to AlCS 7, I'm shocked at that having watched this team all year but watching Dustys decision making for 4 years makes you cynic.
