This is as close as we'll get to the famous Hank Hill line

My expectations are super low. Tucker looks like a relapsed alcoholic just going through the motions of the job so he can punch the time clock and go to the bar.
Peña's confidence can't be feeling to high on life after having John fing Singleton pinch hit for him in the 8th with the bases loaded.
Zero plate discipline to take a few pitches and run up some counts to get the relief on the mound.

Pray for a miracle but expecting to get exactly what we've been given all season long.

Tucker really does look like he’s going through the motions. Crazy he was a beast in the regular season and has pretty much disappeared in the post season. If any day is the day to make some noise then it’s today Tuck!

Pena

I sincerely hope he makes me eat shite tonight for saying this, but Peña isn’t a good hitter. He wasn’t a good hitter last year outside of a couple of spurts. He got hot. See 2018 Jackie Bradley Jr for comparison. He’s tried to make changes to overcome his flailing at outside sliders, but now he can’t get the ball in the air. It is staggering that he hasn’t hit a homer since July.

framber wasn't the issue last night

Pena and tucker being zeros offensively is completely killing this team

Framber threw it well. Heim’s 335 foot fly ball is the difference between an okay line and what would have been a really good one. Even still he gave us a chance

Pena just openly rolls over center cut hung breaking balls. Singleton being the guy who hit for him was obviously idiotic but the decision to lift him made sense. It’s incredibly frustrating that’s the case after what he did last October

Not feeling super confident today, but regardless, please please please finish these frickers off and win tonight please.

Hope to God we actually put together a good game at home and don't see a repeat of Scherzer in game 7 World Series in 2019.

Dubon should start as SS.

I'm as pessimistic as ever about tonight, but I'm gonna try to enjoy the moment. If this offseason is a repeat of the last, might be the last time we're here for a while.

Go Stros

Very interested in how the Rags see Javi tonight. He's been incredible in the post, but this is the first time that a team has gotten a second look at him in a series. How up will the fastball play against them having seen it just 5 days ago? Feels like he's going to have to land a lot of breaking balls early in counts to get them off of it. Semien looked like he's coming out of it and Seager feels like a ticking time bomb, if they can just keep the Rangers in the yard that would be huge.

Not going to just doom for the Astros, Scherzer has the same questions. He does have that extra gear of dawg in him but he knows his stuff isn't where it needs to be so there's a chance he over throws and tries too hard to make something happen. Just gotta continue the process and keep getting traffic on to give yourself the chance for a big hit. I'd be foolish to expect them to all of the sudden come out of the funk of hitting with RISP in that building but just keep giving yourself the opportunity.

Got a feeling Javi struggles tonight and the offense does its same ghost act. We close out the year with a 1-5 playoff record and 7-22 in our last 29 home games.

I blame MLB. When they suspended McCullers, they ripped this team's heart out.
