Giving up on LMCJ was a huge fail. Don't give me the "3rd time through the lineup" crap. Peacock just sitting around collecting dust. Why didn't they go to him? Game over.

obviously the manager is going to get questioned throughout the postseason but I didn't have a problem with any moves he made. I thought it just came down to execution. Bullpen Musgrove, Devo, and Giles are about as good as we have out of the pen and none succeeded. Sure it's easy to throw in Peacock but he's also been a starter for most of the year so you have some reservation about bringing him out of the pen again in a close game and I'm also not confident in saying he's better than the first three last. Bottom line, IMO, our three best relievers were on the hill and no one could get the job done.
ETA: I definitely disagree in saying that he should've left Lance in. Easy to second guess since relief didn't get the job done, but I don't know how you can leave him in any longer.

Giles is the only one in the pen I trust and it feels like (I don’t know his actual numbers but it seems like he’s pitched a lot more innings in a short span than he did in the regular season) he has been overworked in the playoffs
hes pitched on 2, 3, and 3 days rest. Plenty of rest for a closer.

Them taking Lance out when they did was a bad move IMO. As they say, hindsight is 20/20, but when they took him out, I was thinking that was a bit premature. He had been pitching a good game and although he gave up the 1 run, I wish they would have left him in a little longer.
Also, don't understand why they didn't put Peacock in. They had a great chance to go up 3-1 and be in complete control of the series. Now, it's tied at 2-2, Yankees have the momentum and with how we've played in NY, they have a good chance at going up 3-2 unless Keuchel can pitch a great game.
Anyways, Keuchel should be pitching for the series win tonight. Instead, bad management has him pitching for us trying to go back up in the series and hopefully, he can have us up 3-2 going back to Houston.
Just hate it, because although the bullpen was shite last night, I feel the manager has let the team down.

Sure, their bullpen is deep and their lineup is nice, but their pen isn't some kind of unstoppable force like the Yankee loving media would want you to believe. Their fielding isn't that good and at times they can struggle.
Yep. I mean no doubt their pen is good but they blew a 6 run lead vs Cleveland and we would have been well on our way to a crooked number vs Chapman in the 9th in game 2.

I mean I thought the thinking was start Lance because Peacock has been out of the bullpen before so he can warm up faster than a career starter.
Our relievers are so wild sometimes. They will throw 2 great pitches, then throw one into the dirt without meaning too. Too many times last night they got fat over the plate with their misses

Lance was cruising. We just gave him a 4 run spot. Judge tagged one and you pull him? Lol. If he couldn't get passed that then we deserved to lose. He was at 80 pitches. Over managed af. I legit thought peacock was going to come in to lock it up.

Hinch's inability to realize he could tandem his 4 good starters not named JV and DK should surprise no one. Great manager, he is not.

I worry about Giles. He hasn't had a clean appearance in the postseason, but in the other appearances he bounced right back and attacked after the Devers inside the park HR and the Bird HR. It didn't seem to phase him. He looked lost last night in the dugout after
HIs stuff looked like shite last night. He wasn't hitting his spots and he was hanging his slider. The ball Judge hit wasn't a horrible pitch....it was low...but it wasn't far enough outside.

Just think how bad we've played through 4 and we are still tied at 2-2.... I like our odds
It's all up to Keuchel today. He has pretty much dominated the Yankees, so the question is..is he due to have a bad outing against them? Well, we all thought the Astros would eventually get to David Price, and that never happened...so hopefully Keuchel continues his mojo vs. NY. As long as he keeps the ball down, he will be fine I think......and hope.

The Yanks really expanded the zone in game 1 against Keuchel. They chased a lot of low balls. Against 2 strikeout pitchers in Morton and McCullers, they only struck out 3 times against each. They've seemingly made some adjustments to what they're offering at.
Now Keuchel isn't a strikeout pitcher per se but the lower the better for him. He's at his best when he's getting calls at the bottom of the zone or getting chases low.

I’m strongly considering putting $40 on the Yankees moneyline tonight to help me with my depression if we lose tonight

I already put 100 on the yanks ML. I rarely bet, but when I do, I lose in embarrassing fashion. So here is to reversing our fortune with a bet.

If the Astros win y'all have to take other side for the rest of the playoffs

It's not up to Keuchel tonight...its up to the bats. Even if Keuchel pitches a gem we can still easily lose with our terrible bats.
With that being said, I think we lose tonight. This team looks ready to hit the beach for the off-season. Their ab's are atrocious and I think they're succumbing to the moment and the stage is too big for them.
It's sad because they're a much better team than the Yankees.

George is really pissing me off. When he's clicking the offense is putting up huge numbers and he refuses to cut down on his swing and have good at bats this series

Him, most of all looks scared and lost and hasn't shown a moment where he hasn't. He's much better than this but I'm afraid his psyche is shot. The big bad NY has him rattled beyond just the physical.
