Probably yea.
And they will make an adjustment to scratch runs across against him.
Astros will continue to look lost and think one swing will flip the script for them.
Having watched this team all year when they are going bad offensively it takes like a week for them to change something and get back to mashing and having good AB’s. I don’t think there is time left for something to flip on for them.

He threw a gem that game.
Lot of pitches though. I think might be warn out. He might get yanked early

Will Verlander show any fatigue from the 124 last Saturday?
Maybe. But it's more likely that his arse will still be sore from being on the wrong end of the arse whipping from these 3 games.

Story of the series is that Yankees hitters made adjustments, Astros hitters did nothing. They were flat out dominated by Keuchel in game 1. 4 runs in game 5.

Smoltz speaks a lot of truth. Yankees adjusted. Where are the Astros adjustments? Haven’t been made.
I don’t care how many runs we produced or about our high averages during the regular season.
In playoff baseball when you face the same pitchers more than once you have to make adjustments. Either our coaches have failed to implement approach strategies or our hitters have failed to execute them.
I do not believe in the “it’s just baseball” argument when you’ve been shut down 5 games in a row and you haven’t hit anything with authority.

We’re still swinging for the fences, nothing will change.
Best regular season offense in like 100 years and turn to a puddle in the playoffs

Imo Hinch deserves as much blame as the lineup that fool has over managed this whole series and yesterday taking out McCullers in a 4-1 game when he was dealing and made one bad pitch to Judge was idiotic and changed the entire series.

This is so fricking embarrassing
So excited to watch this team meltdown again tomorrow.
The sad thing is, nothing will be different next year, we’ll have the same bunch of losers, minus Beltran

We're down 4-0. Looks like game 7 will be a certainty. We might want Peacock to start that game. Nah frick it. Lets throw him in relief down 4 runs.

i don't know how much longer I can just hope for a come back. These at bats are fricking depressing

Uh you sure you can even win one more?

He had to make the move. McCullers hadn’t thrown that many pitches since July. Can’t afford a snowball. He should have went Peacock to Giles. But frick man Devo or Musgrove somebody had to nut up and get a few outs and they all shite right down their legs in incredible fashion.

Hopefully this is just an inning of work for Brad to get him in before we will need him in a win or go home. Surely he’s not going to eat the rest of these innings

People keep missing the point (or they're just still in denial of what's going on).
It doesn't matter if Verlander throws a PERFECT GAME, this team hasn't hit the ball since the Red Sox series and has proven to crumble under pressure.
You can't just rely on one or two aces to bail them out. It's not gonna happen when the bats are scared to death.

Still not conceding this series
But if we finish out this game the same way it’s been played thus far and the bats disappear again in game 6, do y’all think Hudgens job would be safe?
I don’t think there was anybody who wanted him back this season and we surprisingly put up some crazy offensive numbers to the point he really wasn’t criticized very much throughout the year
The lack of adjustments this series are just horrendous though

All the stuff about learning from the Royals loss is nothing but horseshite.
We’re essentially doing the same thing all over again just dragged out over a longer timeframe.
Losers play like losers.
