It doesn't matter if Verlander throws a PERFECT GAME, this team hasn't hit the ball since the Red Sox series and has proven to crumble under pressure.

All the stuff about learning from the Royals loss is nothing but horse shite. We’re essentially doing the same thing all over again just dragged out over a longer timeframe. Losers play like losers.

Different team and season, same typical Astros choke job in the playoffs.

They did it in the 80's, the 90's and the mid 00's.

We've all seen this movie before. Just with different actors.

Meh, we battled really well in that Boston series

We started this postseason going 5-1. Anybody would’ve laughed at you had someone suggested on Monday morning that this roster wasn’t in a way better place than 2015

There’s probably a 0% chance we win game 6.

If I had a bunch of money I’d bet it on Yankees in a heartbeat

Astros bats are putting me to sleep.

Hope Harris can get through this inning.

Look at where that’s gotten us, outside of Sale & Kimbrel that pitching staff is horrendous

Are you confident that we hit off Severino?

I’m not, we can’t hit mistake breaking balls over the heart of the plate

ETA: we’ll keep trying to hit HRs every AB and fail over and over again, just like we’ve done the previous 2+ games

Jesus, I’m pissed of watching the last 3 games too but are you really suggesting beating Sale twice and hitting Kimbrel isn’t really good?

I’m not confident in anything right now but if you wanna give me 100-1 odds I’ll gladly place a wager

I mean NY still has to win a game in Houston to win this series. Yankees have made adjustments in NYC, they also had to be the ones to adjust first. Last night was a meltdown

Friday the Astros get Verlander at home to try and gut it out to 7. Why the heck not

It was, but we’re not facing Sale and Kimbrel anymore.

Not to mention the NYY offense is light years better than Boston’s

Chase fricking headley has as many hits as our entire outfield staff. Let that sink in.

ETA: nevermind. He has more now. Fricking pathetic.

Another thing which should be discussed at length after this series is over/in offseason thread... once again baseball is at a point where you aren’t making a deep postseason run without a very good bullpen

Our offense was awful yesterday and still gave us a 4-0 lead. If we have the Dodgers or Yankees bullpen we are likely up 3-1 in the series currently which our offense has been abysmal

You are throwing Verlander, you have a shot. Step off the ledge

We’ve been outscored 20-10 and haven’t made an adjustment yet.

Everyone on the Yankees is hitting, a few innings ago we were 10 of 100 for anyone outside of Altuve and Correa and neither one have them has done anything since game 2, they aren’t even really hitting the ball hard.

Just going back to Houston doesn’t change that, NY has scored as many this game as we did in 2 games at home
