That quote throwing Yainer under the bus infuriated me to no end. It didn't matter what was called, J.P. wasn't executing and the Red Sox put great swings on balls. It happens, but to blame the catcher is just so petty and ignorant.
Not once all year has he put any blame on Moldy from stinkers, and the stinkers are from the aces of the staff. It's always "Well man, Framber just didn't execute a pitch here and a pitch there."
Honestly, Framber's two blow ups against the Rangers and Mariners are more embarrassing than what happened yesterday because of the way Framber compounded things, now THAT is something you can put directly on a catcher for allowing to happen.

And where is the praise for how Diaz has worked with all the young pitchers up until last game?
