Yet, Palillo wasn't. And that was when they sucked.

WTF?

Bulked up too much

ETA: and it seemed like he was living in the top, not the bottom of the zone

It makes sense the Rangers will be the new affiliate for them since Round Rock will likely become our new Triple-A Affiliate starting next season.

How do these things work? I was just discussing this with a friend this past weekend.

Do the Astros buy all of the facilities and then the Rangers begin to consolidate their players they want from RR to their other farm teams? Which leaves the remaining players the Rangers dont claim to be purchased by the Astros organization?

I assume the Astros getting RR has everything to do with the Ryan's ownership of that team while also being an executive of the Astros.

PDC contracts are just for the facilities and team names I believe. The rangers have rights to all the players no matter what, but the facilities are under contract for X amount of time

When I saw Keuchel at a fundraiser shortly after the WS, he had a boot on his left foot.

There's definitely a reason he hasn't pitched til now

We got His best years. I. Don't think he will repeat his past. Success to that Level Again but he can be a decent 3.

So once the Astros buy and they start putting their players on the team it'll be a team comprised of Astros And rangers prospects?

Na the Rangers will just pick up and move all of their people to their other location, the whole lot of them. Likely San Antonio from what I read. The missions (AA) are moving to Amarillo and another AAA team will get moved to San Antonio

ETA: it’s just like Fresno, they used to be a Giants affiliate, then we took it over

A lot of the guys have quit apparently, the parent company sucks a bag of dicks from what I’ve read.

Also, JV is our opening day starter

To me it's always made the most sense to go
Verlander
Keuchel

Also, for those that follow him, apparently PatDstat and his dad were in a car wreck in mid February and his dad died. Apparently Pat is still in the hospital recovering.

Was wondering why I hadn’t seen anything from him in awhile

What was your favorite Anthony Gose as an Astro (Part 2) moment?

Before his first walk, because that was the peak of his chances at making this team. Now, he gone.

quote:

"He's in a tough spot," Astros manager A.J. Hinch told MLB.com's Brian McTaggart following Saturday's loss. "He's got talent, and I think that's what intrigues everybody about the transition from outfielder to pitcher. He's trying to make a very difficult team to make, so odds aren't in his favor but we do appreciate the talent. We do think that he's got a future, we just have to determine whether that's with us."
