This opens the door for white or JD to be on the roster for a few weeks. I see marwin getting the lion share of 1b at bats.

I believe they should start giving Davis reps at 1b. He seems to have the most hitting upside and he's a butcher at 3b.

IMO this opens the door for Kemp to break camp with the squad as a utility guy with MarGo more than likely getting a majority of the reps at first base against righties.

I’d imagine it would be hard for Reed to break camp with Astros right now unless he just tears it up so much that Astros want to give him the opening day nod over there and keep MarGo in left field. Not the worst position to face an injury because of the depth but it still stinks hopefully Yuli makes a quick and full recovery

It's an opportunity for several Young players to step up. If they don't then you will see Tucker called up for sure and Marwin plays 1b.

JD Davis is hitting very well.

Also, I was very critical of Max Stassi last season, but he has "flattened his swing" and is hitting the ball well to start Spring Training. I'm rooting for his success because he is already a fine defensive catcher.

Yep. Assuming the Yulster comes back full strength by midseason at the latest, this injury may work out as a big positive for one of White, Davis or Reed.

I also suspect McCann will pick up a first baseman's mitt this spring. We can again ask why Gattis never gets a chance to play 1B, too.

They like JD. You know they want him to win this new job opening.

I think White is Marwin's eventual utility man replacement.
