I fell victim to the Whataburger mushroom and Swiss commercial. Missed the inning of the Nats scoring.
Floating, the jinxes and superstitions start game one of preseason. Don’t you dare go to Whataburger again this season when the other team is coming to bat. Then again, if we win, you might have to go during every game at the same point and order the same thing.

I picked up Smart Baseball by Keith Law during the off season and have finally accepted my age.
There's no room for hitting singles and stealing bases. He'll be a good trade piece with a lesser endowed organization for a groundball reliever. LOL

Blum has made every effort to endear himself to Astros fans, but I just have a hard time forgetting that HR at 1 AM w the open roof in the cold in '05
Ashby was more my guy, but there's plenty time

I felt the same as you but now that last year happened, I’ve kind of forgotten it

I'm trending that way too

Even if they had lost game 7, the run last year was so much more special to me than 05. With the tear down and then youth movement building into it plus Harvey happening.
Forgotten probably isn’t the right word, but I don’t really hold it against him anymore

Strikeout AJ Reed

Reed just has a giant hole in his swing.

Just like LSU Football '07, I went all in last year with the Astros when they ditched Castro and signed Reddick and McCann
Once 3 outcome Carter was gone and they placed an emphasis on QABs, I knew they were 1 playoff arm away.
It looked like Luhnow's stigma w the old school regime after Cardinalgate would stymie his efforts and/or an unwilling ownership to commit financially.
But alas, the rest is history, that I hope repeats itself.

Reed's weight loss should help him in whatever it is he decides to do with his life post baseball or the end of Spring
Whichever comes first

They need to have him start pitching again. We don’t have many promising lefties in the system

Yeah, that'll go a long way in making the roster. LOL
