This is a much better interview with Neris. Very cool to talk to him while he’s starting to stretch

Man can't even get his bat around on 90-92.

Idk if it's mechanical or because he's old and decrepit but Falter was just pumping 90-92 fastballs in the upper half of the zone and Abreu was fouling them off to the right side because he can't get his bat around.

Keep hearing about him letting the ball get too deep. That's why he's late. But is it because he's not processing fastballs anymore so there's a delay?

That video that was posted the other day of DeRo breaking down his mechanics really makes it as simple as he’s not connected. Once I watched that video and started keying in on his AB’s it really is that evident his front side is leaking on everything so he’s all arms at the point of contact.

Now why he’s leaking? Who knows feels like it should be easily corrected but maybe he knows he’s not the ole Abreu and cheating.

Welp can’t really afford injuries to the staff

Guessing maybe it’ll be JP France up

It's so weird seeing a big man jacked like him swing with a slappy all arms swing and no base underneath him.

Urquidy, not great but an adequate back of Staff guy. It can be sooo much worse than him and if we've got to make a call to Sugarland, buckle up. They're a dumpster fire.

And he was kinda crushing the ball in spring training. I’m really hoping he’s just pressing to make an impression on a new franchise

I’ll say it again…this is what happens when you don’t at least try to backfill losing the Cy Young winner with a serviceable starter. Because after all, there won’t be any injuries and LMJ will be good to go being the Iron Man he always is.

Losing a starter is obviously not good but if it’s gonna be anyone I guess we’d want it to be Urquidy

40 man options for starters...

Bielak 4.12 ERA at AAA

Shawn Dubin 4.32 at AAA

JP France 2.33 12.1 K/9 but also 5.1 BB/9

Whitley 6.00 ERA

I would like to see France get a little run.

Obviously don't want Urquidy badly hurt. His reaction on replay didn't seem to look like it was elbow related, for what that's worth.

Hoping for something muscular in his side rather than arm.

I say bring up Whitley…it’s put up or shut up time. It’s early in rhe year and we can see what he’s got without hurting the club. He’s lost all trade value so we might as well roll him out there to sink or swim
