The Falcons have needed pass rush help for my entire life .

With the cap space, I don't think it would be the worst idea to go big on defensive line in free agency, use the #8 pick on Paris Johnson or Brod Jones, and wish McGary well.

Texans fan here as well. I waffle between he and Young. While I like Young, I believe Stroud has the upside similar to that of Desean Watson without the baggage.

I'd be okay w/this.

If Eagles take Witherspoon at #10 and resign Chauncey Gardner, they will some seriously hard hits coming from that secondary.

That being said I think Eagles trade out of that #10 pick.

Richardson’s draft hype has to be completely fabricated, right? I’ve never disagreed with a prospect’s ranking more. Even Manziel had some redeeming qualities on paper.

Why's that?

They need an impact player than can start as a rookie since their Super Bowl window is currently open for an indefinite amount of time.

I didn't buy the Josh Allen hype coming out of college.

His stats were very pedestrian, his accuracy especially (56%).

His growth through his time in the league has been an anomaly.

He'll do, also.

Though I'd prefer he last till the Steelers at 18.

Probably won't, though.

Where is Stetson Bennett projected to go?

Howie Roseman is notorious for stock piling picks at the right opportunity. If a team sees their must have player still sitting there at 10 they might offer their 1st and future picks. I don’t personally like that approach but it’s paid off in the past and has sort of turned into a trend with him.

If Eagles only had one 1st round pick I wouldn’t think that but them having two changes things imo.

How many GMs are going to get fired over the next 5-10 years chasing the next Josh Allen? You are right. His improvement as a passer is something I've never seen before. Wildly inaccurate passers rarely become accurate passers.

Is Jalen carter really worthy of no.1 overall? I mean that Georgia defense was dominant and I’d say he’s a 1st round talent no doubt, and the best interior d lineman in the draft, but I just don’t see him being a once in a generation tackle the way Aaron Donald is or Ndamakung suh when he came out, which is what I feel like you should be if you’re a no.1 overall draft pick at DT

He has been the best player on our defense for the last two years.

That Richardson pick actually makes a lot of sense. You could argue the Lions would be better off using the pick to shore up their defense but if they go the Mahomes route and let Richardson sit and learn and not throw him into the fire it could pay off down the road when they have to either overpay Goff or let him walk. It would be a terrible pick if he was selected by someone like the Panthers or the Jets where he would be expected to start right away but it's not a bad pick for a team who won't need him for a year or two.
