He said it today on his show, that a source told him the following (Cliffs):

...

-Chairman of BOT pursued Belichick, goes all the way to the top.

-move made to change perception and infrastructure at UNC to attract/move to SEC or BIG down the road

- NIL contributions have been realigned and increased 500%

....

For reference, Mack Brown said his NIL was about $4M and hoped the next coach could unlock much more and would be better suited for the new era of CFB.

I think the SEC ultimately adds North Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech

I think B1G adds Miami and one other ACC Team

Big12 scoops up the 4 most desirable ACC teams left whoever those are

They have the same problem as FSU. Getting out of that TV rights contract is difficult

They LOVED that “stability” when they signed it

This makes a lot of sense.

UNC will be in the SEC by the end of the decade IMO.

I would love to have UNC in the conference. Love everything about that school. BIG 10 And SEC are setting up as NFC and AFC though.

I think the B1G adds NC, Duke, VA, and Georgia Tech (they want those AAU affiliated schools and all four are).

SEC picks up Clemson, FL State, NC State, VA Tech (adds two states to their coverage plus two programs with historically good - though not great - football programs).

SMU gets the pooch scr*wed again.

The last two expansion jewels left are UNC and Notre Dame. Anything left is just 'meh' scraps.

I think NC State is a great consolation to whoever doesn’t get UNC. The state of North Carolina and the SEC should go together very well, whichever team it ends up being. The ACC can kick rocks.
